so my rear tires are wearing out. evenly but wearing out. had them for about 3+ years so it's been a good run.

-haven't changed the diff oil since 2010

-does do hard driving autocross/daily driving/top speed runs.

seems like my diff is acting like it's welded. since loosing meat on my tires the right rear seems to have ALL the power. and this makes it a pain/dangerous when it's driving in the wet.

so iam thinking I will change the oil and get some new tires and all will be well again. incase that isn't the issue the only option I have is to replace the diff correct??

where would I get brand new internal j30 guts anyway? I really don't want to spend 1k on a kaaz 1.5.

when I pulled the diff iirc it had less than 150k miles on the clock. add another 50k so is the fail point right around 200k, or are these units maintence free and my problem is no tire and bad/old oil??

Is each tire wearing evenly or are they wearing evenly in relation to each other?

If one tire wears faster than the other your diff is wearing out. Good luck finding J30 internals. You can shim the diff but I would just invest in a reasonably priced mechanical diff. Viscous differentials do not last long in hard driving. They were meant for "luxury" cars.
