Ok well I think I might have to get replacement hip surgery to fit in a Bride Brix.

Since I'm about 6'3" I need a seat that sits lower than stock. So Bride was my only choice, but my hips are too damn wide to fit in the seat (no I'm not a fatty).

Is there any seat out there I can buy that I'll actually fit in and will sit lower than the stock seat?

Short answer...probably not.

Are you sure you don't fit in the brix? have you sat in other racing seats for reference? I'm a pretty big guy myself (6'2", 215lbs, 34" waist, real broad shoulders) and the my brix fits me like a glove.

I've heard random mumblings about a Recaro SRD seat sitting low using bride rails, but i'm not sure. Another option is to have a metal fab shop cut out the "hump" in the floor and weld in a recessed panel, so that other types of racing seats will fit in at the proper height with custom brackets. I've seen this done on a few cars locally and it works great.

i don't think japanese engineers have 6'3'' tall women in mind when they design their seats.

well, from what i have been told, the new series 3 seats from bride are wider...at least the buckets are.
try to find a zeta3 somewhere and try it out.

I'm not a WOMAN!!!

I just have hips like one!! :ghey:

My friend has a Bride Zeta3. The buckets are about half the size of the reclinables. I can (literally) only get one ass cheek in the seat. :ughd:

Are the bolsters on the Ergo lower? The only problem I had with the brix (and the Bride racing seats) are the bolsters are too high up on my hips.

You could look into the sparco evoIII if you want a bucket seat... They are made for the "fat american".

hmm...do you happen to have the older brix or the newer brix? Would you like to sell it to me if its the older one :x:

Sparco Evo 2 and 3 are wider for the bucket side. You can always get a bride bucket type L (zeta, artis, etc.) Oh yeah yes the side bolsters on the Ergo are lower than the brix. Jspec has 2 ergos for sale.
