RB25 w/ stock turbo
FMIC
Open downpipe
E60 MAF
~7psi
Warmed up to operating temp
Nismo FPR

When I go through the gears and put a load on it it will rev out and then hit a brick wall near the limiter, however while its stopped and in neutral it will tap the limiter all day (if I wanted to)

I am new to RBs and am not sure if its not getting adequate fuel or is going into R&R, the engine came out of a friends S13 which I personally rode in and never had this problem. Even at 12psi.

Will upload short video shortly to give you a better idea of what im talking about

It barely taps the limiter in 1st here, but in 2nd and 3rd it will stop pulling up top. It sounds like I let out of the throttle but Its planted, you can hear the delay between it cutting off and the BOV opening.

Stock fuel pump?

Walbro 255, forgot to mention that

It does have a little babyshit fuel filter on it right now, I have a Z32TT sized filter I need to put on it

Okay so I swapped the fuel filter for a Z32TT filter, pulls a little better but still hits a brick wall

Re wired the wires used in hooking up a Bee*R power builder on the ecu, runs smoother but still falls on its face.

Hooked up my autometer tach so I can see exactly where this is happening, at ~5900rpm it falls on its face, IN GEAR. If you have it in neutral just sitting it will peg the limiter at 6900.

Ive tried everything short of pulling codes off the ecu which im not sure how to do since its swapped, its an S2 RB25

Tell me about it.

We pulled the pump out last night, wasn't even a walbro punp. So we put in a legit walbro 255, didn't do a damn thing.

Gonna try one more thing before I give up trying to get it ready for the event this weekend.

My e-fans are hardwired straight to battery power, no relays, no nothing. The one time I halfway remember it running right, I think I had the fans off.

Whenever I flip the fans on theres a drop in RPM, maybe, just maybe, by running the fans it is pulling too much voltage from the coils and creating a weak spark issue.

Cant hurt to try at this point. Im running out of options

here's what you should do.

-go to autozone and get a universal fan relay switch(like 30 bucks). it comes with the radiator probe and adj temp sensor to kick on. trust me I did the fan toggle switch and I love life more since getting this relay.

-run the fuel pump directly to the battery. your voltage system will love you more for this and you will yield more power as the pump is getting more constant uninterrupted voltage.

--fuel pump- trigger fuse "fuel"

--fan relay trigger fuse "shift lock"- if you have/had an auto?

but for your other problems you need a piggyback/stand alone to control your issues it seems like. you have an adj fpr??

Ill try that out. Thanks man, I drove it to work this morning and flipped the fans off and did a quick 1-2 pull. It tapped the limiter in 1st and revved out to 6000-6100 before it quit pulling again, seemed to be a little better.

yes the draw on power will affect your fuel pump will in turn affect your fuel pumps performance. would also help if you upgraded to a Nissan quest alt. iam sitting at 13.8 volts all the time at idle, 14v on startup.

and at night with lights on at 13.6-8 at idle.

Awesome man thanks.

On another note, my dumb ass never paid attention to the boost gauge when it would stop pulling. Whenever it chokes out the boost drops off to zero. Itll creep down first and then just drop to zero. So we kept looking for boost leaks, found the intake boot between the MAF and turbo was loose on the turbo side. Tightened it up and let it get warm, my butt dyno told me it pulled harder and I did I nice little smokey burnout in first, laid it all over the limiter.
