Hey guys, first poster here and am more than happy to be a part of the community after years of lurking the forums. I decided to make a thread about it now because I've gotten serious about this project I have hopes for over this winter. Now to cut to the point..

I'm looking at picking up a cleanish s13 coupe as well as a solid, low km 2j to swap in. After following up on endless amount of forums about the swap I realize how much work and determination this is going to take and I'm up for the challenge. Now the question is the budget, I want some advice and pointers from those who have knowledge on this swap or better yet have done this swap themselves. I'm looking for the following:

I want a 2j, paired to a 6 speed trans to take the power once I decide to make bigger numbers out of the engine.

I want to be able to make a solid 450+whp on a reliable street tune and possibly 600 on another map which would be rarely used, so I'm looking at extras such as a fuel pump, injectors, haltech, cams, and whatever else.

I'm going to want to swap all the wear and tear parts before I drop it in, so gaskets, timing belt, water pump, stat, I'm sure I'm missing alot.

I going to want a nice sounding exhaust, if not a straight pipe which might be too loud. With that being said I'm also going to want to not cut corners, so a solid lightweight flywheel, clutch, pulleys, rad, front mount, you get the point. There's really no budget besides once I hear that this swap might cost me over $20k I might reconsider.. And yes this includes the chassis which I'm able to grab for a good $3-6k around here. Am I getting myself into something I won't want to finish? If so just tell me to stick with a building a sr lol.

Any and all help is greatly appreciated!! Cheers

Over 20k.
(sorry)

Look up the 2jz swapped s-chassis thread in the engine tech section. You can find gobs of info and some about how much the swap costs. 6-speed trans is close to 5k alone.

I figured so :faint: I'll take a look around there, thanks.
