What'd you switch to? :)

Came across a Cusco RS 1.5 way before I installed this. Have been thinking I'd give the 1.5 and 1 way both a try, but I'm going to concentrate on just making the damn car run and fast.

This would go great next to a set of budget baller DefSport brakes. :D

Curious about your reccomendation, most of my friends running road race are running the hlsd. Curious about how you feel about the RS and were you going to swap them and try them out to see which ran faster? I think I am leaning hlsd due to oem reliability.....

Hlsd is nice and non-offensive. Very transparent, and if you never lift rear wheels it performs great.

A clutch diff is more aggressive and your setup must take that into account. Ultimately I feel it is faster if you set the car up for it. Street manners aren't as nice as the hlsd.

Both are good track options.

I've got a cusco rs in the car right now.

So for the helical to drop into an s13 open diff all I'd need are 6bolt axles, correct?

Yes. Stock axles bolt right up. Ring gear hopes are 13mm, but stock 12 mobiles work just fine.

i run an HLSD in my S13 and i LOVE it. makes no noise, car slides just fine when needed, HLSDs never wear out (theyre gear based, not clutch based), LSD is maintenance free outside of changing your gear oil every 15k miles.

these things are SUPER hard to come by so get it while you can!

HLSD sold. Dropped price on the Cusco.

I'm really surprised no one is jumping at the Cusco diff, it's practically brand new and half the price of new.
