I have a local shop that will do a sr swap on my s13 for 5200 and that is including a koyo radiator. They say they will help me with problems if i have them. And it is a complete swap, and they say it will take 3 days. Is it worth the 5200 and have it done 100%...well 99% right(gotta leave room for error) or buy it my self and do it that way. I know these guys at the shop can do it cause they have done it before but please tell me if i should do it. 5200 out the door everything on.

If it was me, 5200 would be too much.

do you feel confident in your abilities to do competent mechanical work? if you said yes and like saving money then do it yourself. if you are lame/have money to throw around or don't have access to tools whatever than you gotta pay. that being said 5200 is on the high side, at least to me.

That is a huge price. The local shop around here does swaps for $1000 installing everything, motor, fmic, exhaust, everything. Unless for $5200 that also includes price of the motor, exhaust etc. Then in that case $5200 would be a good price. If its $5200 just for the labor.. complete rip off

Is that in canadian or US dollars?? hahahaha
yea $5200 is a little overpriced even with a koyo radiator.
The engien could be lets say around 2800
then labor on average for an sr install is around 1000
that is 3800 for a full install usually
they are charging you around 1400 too much with this money think of what you can get!!!!!
steer clear they are rippin ya off and sounds like they do not specilize in sr installs so i would have to say take it to a very repudtable palce that does sr's regularly and you will be much happier.
