Ka24de cams left to right
232e (s14) looks reman'd
232i (s14) SOLD!!!
X2 240i (s13)
$30- shipped
Drilled cam gears, 3 of them. $35 shipped each FIRM, new is $36 through my job. I figured I'd help people out but I can't subsidize your build.
Using 2 on my car now (had 6), drilled for 5 degrees on crank I'd place my error at 2 degrees on crank. Drilled on a drill press centered on a spindle and using a brake rotor for lining up marks and setting the drill point, drilled at 6mm peg is 5.5mm can't get closer without cnc.-------2 LEFT!!!
Full set of valves, buckets, springs, retainers.....and a warped head - make offers
Shims - .0861, .0868, .0874, .0881, .0885, .0895
Multiples of each, $3+ship
No PayPal fees, I'm not gay like that.
Hope someone needs this stuff

Have the Idler Sprocket Bolt?
OddyseusDSM
07-26-2014, 08:55 PM
No bolt, sorry
On another note, built an 11:1 KA started today, no lope with 248s. Needed the 248 due to my CR but you guys running stock compression would probably do fine with a 240 intake and a clocked exhaust cam. Its all in cam timing guys.

Go to Jim wolfs website, but basically 2 sprocket teeth over and the next corresponding hole in that direction. I have dual 248s with ~20 degrees overlap and my intake close at 65 degrees ABDC, would have left my 232 if I hadn't "happened" to have s13 cams in my original motor. The little bit more exhaust overlap, mathematically, seems to be where the power comes from in the swap. My only reason for a 248 was to have a proper valve close with the valve open at or slightly before TDC. Success!
Sorry for the drawn out response. I'm really into this stuff.

Made a jig for the drill press, these gears are better than hand drilled
Buy the gears at least, there was a time these flew off the forums.
240 set 10 degrees advanced will net you ~10-15 degrees overlap same or slightly more cranking compression.
Personally 240 advanced and a 232 retarded 5 degrees each would be best.

5*advance on the intake and 5-10* retard on exhaust on 232s looks like it picks up a bunch of HP between 3 and 6.
