Are there any trusted tuning shops in the area? Thinking about getting an EMS for my CA18 but don't know where to take it for tuning, and don't know the local shops that well at all. I don't mind taking it to other states nearby if that's the best option. Some notes:

- Silvia K's CA18DET
- T28 swap
- Kakimoto cat-back exhaust
- APEX-i power suction intake
- ARC BOV
- Fuels system upgrade but previous owner did it and I'm not sure what it is.

I think the current setup/tune has issues and one big indicator is that I seem to be getting about 13-15 mpg. When I imported it they warned me that it has previously always been on 97+ octane gas, and the best I can find here in Tulsa is 93.

I'm majorly learning here, so will accept all advice. I'm looking to start a build toward a reliable 300hp, and I'm aware that when talking about power, reliability and affordability I can only pick two. :)

it's going to grenade soon since it's tuned for higher octane. the point of them warning you about the octane was so you didn't drive it around on regular ass pump gas. put a stock ECU and injectors back on it unless you're ready to buy the parts for power upgrades

The point of posting this thread was to find a shop to evaluate it, create a build plan and tune it for me. Any suggestions there?

I know this is a bit old, but in case you're still looking there's always Tays Automotive in Grand Prairie, TX. He services most 240SX in the DFW region. Pretty good rep, fair prices, and has been doing S-chassis stuff since late 90's early 00's I believe. He's had people come all the way from Nebraska I believe, and he takes cars that he builds down to Tx2k, too.

Here's his contact: 469-585-1344 And his FB page. https://www.facebook.com/tayautomotive
