TSSS22

Hi my name is Szabi, I live in Slovakia and last year I was bought a Nissan 200sx s13 in very poor condition. The previous owner used this car to learning drift so this is the missile drift car. My plan is built a show car from this shit. I try to make every job alone on the car. So at now I try take chassis to original condition and little modified.
There is the my blog, but at the moment is available in only hungarian language:http://szamel.blog.hu/
Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/nissan_200sx_rs13/
Youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCIFSbiWFW8dFgaqxyVAPd9Q

No, but when I was bought the car, I do not have a lot of money for a car in better condition. Now I have a job and i spending the big part of my payment to restauration. And the plans are the same from the beginning, disassemble the car to the last screw. And beginning job with the chassis and put up the new body kit. Repaint all of the parts or zinc coating the screws...
Now I search the new rear left part of the chassis because this part is in very bad condition

Thanks guys. The works on the left rear part of body are slowly ends. I go to weld the right side of the car, and I have the little work on bottom of the body.
I was ordered the 326power wing, and I go to Budapest for some good JDM stuff. For example the KTS coilover sett, 5lug hubs and adjustable rear camber and toe arms. :naughty:

Great work, good to see quality autobody skills being used for repairing a 240sx. I always see awesome full on restos coming from shops in euro towns, much more dedication to metal trade work than here in the US.

Where did you get the wiper motor?
Dirk Jan
10-10-2014, 07:40 AM
It´s quite common for S13´s to have this amount of rust here in Europe. I´ve actually seen a lot worse, including one of my own previous ones. I can imagine these cars are especially hard to find in Slowakia, so people tend to stick to a shell rather than just scrapping it for another one. As most shells for sale will probably be in worse condition anyway.
Good luck dude, looks like you´re doing a good job!

Yeah there is not too much S13´s, but sometimes outcrop the disassembled car what sold for the parts. I doing this because I'm interested in, and I learning some techniques and know how to repair car body and restoration some parts of this.

Hi, I am back with new pics and infos about the project. Its not dead, just I dont have time to write the new post... With my girlfriend we buy new dailycar: BMW E46 323i sedan, yea its not only my decision. She love the cars also, and She like to drive something nice with correct power specs and I like to buy RWD so this is the result. I worked on car, new polyurethane front bushings, changed steering rack - the old is leaking, exhaust system from 330i - need to little weld for the best fit, and modded muffler (sounds really good :snoop:) and some little mods like angeleyes, autodimming mirror, bluetoothmod for oem HU.

Maybe you're right, but I think the ABS in the car is not useless, its not a racecar and also not a driftcar, for cruising and fun ride I dont see the reason why remove it. Ugly is not a real reason to remove the functional thing from the car. But its my opinion and I am bulding the car for myself, by the way thank you for the comments I appreciate it so thanks for the support.

Yeah its galvanized zinc, it looks like this before.. but the spraypaint is also enought, just you cant paint the inside of the tube, with zinc is also done. btw, your enginebay wiring looks awesome, I am planning something similar too.

Yea, mine is covered in surface rust but I figure it's already 28 years old and no where near 'too rusty'. I just like the small details nobody will ever see so I'll give it some paint.
After a few years away from the scene i am actually re-doing my wiring right now. I've learned a lot since the first time..

So good build. Someone should sponsor you with better wheels!
You're right, I am planning to change wheels to Works or something like that but no money for it now, maybe if someone like to donate this build PM me :naughty:
Well thought out and complete build, especially with the condition of the chassis when you started. Glad to see that people are still putting the time into thoughtful builds.
Thanks, when I am starting the restoration I dont imagine how many hours of work it need to be done
Awesome build! Been following this for a while!
What size are your overfenders, and what specs are your wheels?
Thanks man, the fenders are +50mm on each side, and the wheels are 18x9J ET25 on front, 18x10J ET20 at the end.
BTW the black water hoses arrived

Yes I know but I like this version.
Modified front lower control arms for ball joint with different diameter for s14 hubs. Carpartshops there has bad catalogues but has ball joints for good prices with bad diameters, so I fixed it like this.

Hi! I really like your progress especially on the pieces that you design yourself. I was wondering if you could give some more info on your air cabin project. What filters did you use? What was the foam tape around the filter?

I'm also interested in the cabin filter project, would you be able to provide the file to print the filter holder? I recently got my hands on a 3d printer and am itching to give it a shot!
Loving the build and attention to detail as others had said, I'm blown away by what you've accomplished!

Pretty sure Blender is free, not sure how good it is for designing parts but iirc it's a pretty powerful program

Thanks for the positive feedback, sorry for late reply. Of course I am upload the cabin filter holder to thingiverse for free like my preivous designs. But at the moment the holder is in progress, there is only a strait space for the filter so I needed to redesign the holder a little bit. If I provide the successful test fit of this version I am upload the alpha version to the Thingiverse with all the infromation about the holder, filter and printing settings of course.

I am using the Fusion 360, its easy to use and have 30 or 60days trial, if you a student you can use the soft 3years for free in other case you have 1year for free to personal use. So at the moment I have the 1year free version. The normal price is overkill for hobby use so...
The current status of the holder is shown on the pictures. The parts are fitted together with small neodymium magnets for easy change, but I am thinking about some mechanical clips for straight and stronger fitting. But it cannot be applied on the place because of the access from outside is so bad, so it need to be printed as onepiece with the holder or some snap in joints or something like this.

The 2020 was about building our house, with a new garage of course. Its a flat roof house so I no have enough room for a car lift, so I decided to make a service pit. Btw I made some fancy wall lighting in the garage.
So yeah I don't have too much to say about the s13, for the car the last things that arrived are these nice stickers from restomod.ninja (http://restomod.ninja). The next update is coming when the garage and driveway is ready to bring over the S13.

Thanks :x: I think it is far from perfect, but I do my best. The thing is I started it few years before, hmm I need to check the date when I buy it, wait a minute.........
...
In 2012 OMG :picardfp: I thought it would be done in 1 year
Anyway I would do a lot of things differently these days what I learned from this build so yeah maybe the next projectcar can be better.
I missed the opportunity to buy Lancia Thema 8.32 with Ferrari v8 from my friend because the s13 is still in progress.
It crashed from the backside but he has the donor car and no time to finish it.
It would be nice to take it back to alive but I think my wife can't handle another rusty shit in our family.
So the plan is to finish the S13 before starting anything else.
I assume the cabin filter mounts between the blower motor box and the AC box?
No, the filter goes through the wiper area, it's made from 2 main parts. The bottom is fitted into the ventilation inlet,
then the upper part was slid on top of that, and the magnets hold it in place. Also, the body has a little bump on top of the back part of the filter so it presses down the filter a little,
which helps to take it in place also.
It's a weird solution I know, the install is painful for those who have bigger arms but this method does not need any modification,
so you can add the filter to the full stock car also. But the truth is, you need to disassembly the plastic cover under the wipers for install or filter change.
