Yesterday i took the 240 out in the rain and found a parking lot in a large nearby park.
it was all wet and slippery :D
but I realized as I switch gears there is some light grinding, it's very light, and only happens from 1st to 2nd or from 2nd to 3rd at 3500 to 4500rpm. I can feel it more than I can hear it..

The clutch that was in the car when I bought it was completely shot, and I put in a Stage 2 Comp Clutch White Bunny. I have put about 350 miles on it before I ragged on it..

when we swapped the clutch, we had a hard time swapping the throw out bearing, and cracked part of the clutch hub / bearing assembly? Not sure exactly what the part is called, but it's the part that you put the throw out bearing onto before you throw it all back in..

Could it be just that? or do you think I may have messed up the clutch? Do you think it's the transmission?

I'll try to record the audio of it.. but the stupid exhaust that came on this car is so fucking loud.

Thanks!

I dont know if this is your problem, but this is the part you are describing (I believe?)

Yes, it is cracked at the top lip on the 3rd picture. part of it actually came off. Could that be what is causing the light grinding?

Have you changed the fluid in your trans? If so what kind of fluid did you use? Amsoil has some good GL4 fluid along with Redline. Be sure to use GL4 only fluid as GL5 is toxic to the yellow metals in the trans.

That's called the throw out bearing sleeve. The groove is for your clutch pivot clip, which clips in and rides on the ears. I highly doubt this is your problem. Drain your fluid and see what the magnetic plug looks like. If it looks anything like a sea urchin, put some new fluid in.

If it's at a certain RPM like you described, it sounds like it could be a syncro issue. I would try what jr_ss suggested. A lot of times, a nice flush will "cure" grinding issues like that.
