I am almost done with my drag car project... I'm already bored with it though.. :-p I'm actually looking at building a Titan motor and turbocharging it.. then sticking it in another S13 chassis. Here's a run-down of what I have put into my car so far..
1992 Nissan 240sx hatchback
New (white) paint and clear (including engine bay)
S14 SR20DET
JE 8:1 forged pistons
Saenz custom forged connecting rods
ARP rod bolts
ARP head studs
Nissan Motorsports heavy duty main bolts
HKS 264* cams
HKS springs/retainers
Minor head port work (clean up and bowl area)
Entire engine was cleaned inside and out and blue-printed upon assembly
Crankshaft was cryotreated and straightened then polished
New oil pump
New Nissan bearings and seals
New hydraulic lash adjusters and re-shimmed valvetrain
Cometic multilayer steel metal head-gasket
Custom cam angle sensor block off plate
Custom MSD plug wires
Custom engine wiring harness
S14 SR20 5spd transmission (case and gears have been cryotreated)
New motor/tranny mounts
Nismo Viscous LSD
Cryotreated axles
ARP wheel studs
JWT alluminum flywheel (SFI approved)
JWT clutch and pressure plate (good for 600+whp)
KYB GR2 shocks/struts
Eibach Pro-Kit springs
T61/P-trim T4 turbocharger
Schedule 40 mild steel, TIG welded manifold
HKS 50mm wastegate and 2" dump tube
3" downpipe with V-band flange
Greddy Type R blow off valve
2.5" intercooler piping
GIGANTIC Spearco intercooler with TIG welded fabbed end tanks
96lb (1000cc) MSD injectors
Custom billet fuel rail
Twin Walbro 255lph fuel pumps
Twin feed fuel system
Aeromotive fuel pressure regulator (modified for twin feed)
Electromotive TEC II stand alone engine management system
3 bar MAP sensor
New coolant, air temp, o2, knock, and crank trigger sensors
Custom crank trigger bracket and trigger wheel TIG welded on pulley
Custom guage panel (where radio and A/C heat controls were)
Autometer Ultra-lite (boost, EGT, fuel pressure, and oil pressure guages)
Radiator from an automatic S13 (larger radiator)
Cooling fans with all wiring done up
Switched power (on guage panel) for: fuel system, computer, cooling system and nitrous arm/disarm
NOS direct port nitrous oxide kit, already plumbed and installed
NOS bottle heater and pressure switch
NOS Nitrous pressure guage
Silicone reinforced intercooler couplers with clamps
The car is about 90% done.. I have everything to finish it.. I just haven't had time to do it. This car was built to make 600-650whp on the nitrous. It would probably do 550whp or so without nitrous at around 28psi on C16. This is NOT a toy... It IS streetable, as this was my intent with this car.. streetable BIG power, and 9 second time slips. The car does need a cage, and a few more things to get it done.. however, most of the hard work has been done already. But, with an inexperienced driver, this car will definately be a handful. 100mph rolling burn-outs are possible with this kind of power. So, please do your homework if you're interested.
Add up the value of the parts alone, and you know that this car isn't cheap.. I have several months of build time into it as well. I am asking $9,000.00 for the car as it sits. If you want it finished, dyno-tuned, and numbers... it will be $11,500.00. This will include a roll-cage, scatter shield for the tranny, and finish up the wiring. It also includes getting the car tuned and road-worthy. It has a clear title, so no problems there. If the buyer allows me to finish the car, I will make arangements to get the car to them.. within the lower 48 states. Anyone who knows what's in this car, also knows that this is a good deal on what you are getting. Please post here, email me ([email protected]) or call me at 985-713-1542. I can post pics if anyone is interested..
