Anyone else doing this? Post pics of your stuff.

I just bought a DIY kit from mydipkit.com the other day because I was planning on doing some wheels with it.

After doing some test pieces, I realize I still need practice... But it's been a lot of fun. I was originally going to get the wood grain, but I figured the CF would sell better since I'm not planning on keeping the wheels for long. Anyways... pics

The first thing I did.

Then I figured since I plan on doing wheels, I should practice on RC wheels. I'm having trouble with distortion on the lips of wheels. The wheels I plan on dipping have 2.5" lips... So that's going to be a challenge. If you know a trick on how to do it, please share with the class.

Where do you get your film? I got mine from mydipkit.com. But their film is only 19" wide. I did an 18" wheel today. My plan was to go back and paint the lips black. Just leave the spokes CF. The directions say between 70-80*F. Got the water to 75*F. It was about 85* outside. I was surprised how well it climbed the lips, but on the narrow sides it distorted around the spokes because it seemed like it ran out of material. I think I need at least 22" wide to cover the surface area without stretching.
