While the subject of this photo is definitely fail, the car itself was rad as fuck. That's SCC magazine's "project S13" that Dave Coleman built in the late 90's-early 2000's. I'll leave it to Mr. Coleman to explain it the best:

That purple 240 truck thing kills me inside. That girl who used to own it let her man take a sawzilla to the rear of her hatch. Then just left it all hacked up for a "few weeks". Then after a few weeks of ridicule about how unsafe it was they decided to "let an expert weld it", which was her Man, and his first time ever welding. At that point the shell was already tweeked as they did nothing to support the frame before "cutting" (see hacking). Then about 2 months later got tired of it raining in her car every day and had her man weld in a piece of metal where the rear window went........ She told everyone she didn't need a rear window, she could just pull through everywhere.

Last I heard someone still had that thing. It is scary to think it is even on a public road.

Pretty much the definition of a "florida car".

This is essentially just like the car g35baby is talking about. The roof was torn off when it was slid into a tractor years ago. It is cut apart, just like the above car, and now has a "tube chassis" with chicken shit welds and crappy metal. The thing needs to be push started everywhere. Definition of doing it wrong.

I also saw an S13 hatch with metal welded in place of the passenger side quarter window. Totally retarded.

Even though I live in a place where the police luckily does not really care about modded cars, I would still never dare to drive (nor want to be seen in) anything like that, simply not to push them until they start caring. your location says florida, you should be aware of the # of 16 year old tool bags that want to be the next Drift king. The Gold Coupe I sold last year was a kid who had just smashed his last HB into a Brick mail box because he "was driving too fast in a neighborhood at night well it was raining"

I didn't have any personal attachment to that coupe so as long as he had $, I didn't care..... so long as he left my mail box alone. My Red coupe I was far more picky about who bought it as I was far more attached to it.

3- different colors due to just throwing parts together

YES was, I remember the car was also featured in Import Tuner as well. Back in its former glory it was good, now with a broken replica s14 Kouki Greddy front lip that is ziptied to the GTR style bumper along with a changes that should have never been done.

My first car a 1986 200sx Turbo hatch, was at some point red, but b the time it got to me was orange in most places, the turbo was seized, and had cosmetic bruises in a few spots, and the lovely rust herpes here and there, lol I paid $250 and was my point A to point B car, shit it took me like six months to realize I was driving a S12 or what a S12 was for that matter lol back in 2003... miss that dam car was so reliable and gave me such a good gas mileage...

Anyways, all that "stuff" is the previous owners stuff (stickers and license plate frame) I haven't got a chance to work on any of my car appearance yet. It had a fubar'd transmission (previous owners abused the shit out of it and ran it with no trans fluid for A LONG TIME) So currently I'm in the process of getting all the synchros and bearings replaced since. Also waiting for my ACT clutch and SPL arms, rods etc. So no appearance work until I get my mechanical parts fixed.

That purple 240 truck thing kills me inside. That girl who used to own it let her man take a sawzilla to the rear of her hatch. Then just left it all hacked up for a "few weeks". Then after a few weeks of ridicule about how unsafe it was they decided to "let an expert weld it", which was her Man, and his first time ever welding. At that point the shell was already tweeked as they did nothing to support the frame before "cutting" (see hacking). Then about 2 months later got tired of it raining in her car every day and had her man weld in a piece of metal where the rear window went........ She told everyone she didn't need a rear window, she could just pull through everywhere.

Last I heard someone still had that thing. It is scary to think it is even on a public road.

The 180 shown in photos is also very clean, with an extremely unusual rear tail light conversion that while it may not be to your liking, the execution is well done and the quality is very high.

Haha, after doing a side by side comparison, they do resemblance each other. I like the Work VS-KF just cause...I like them. They have a loud appearance and are bad ass Japanese wheels. I do prefer the OZ Futuras, Equips 05s, Brock B1s style-ish kind of rims a little more (I use to own a VW so kind of still in love with the Euro-influenced kind of stuff). Trying to be all "mad jdm tyte" and all that stuff is, meh. But come on, you can't say you don't got a soft spot for them Work VS-KFs...you know you do lol.

I can guarantee that anyone would choose this...

It's also one of the ugliest S13's ever made. Oh and it also uses two of the worst turbochargers ever, the GT3082R. That is a 35R compressor wheel with a 30R turbine, a horrible combo, and a large part of the reason that all of the Ben Sopra cars aren't competitive and visibly drive awful. When you have tons of money but no style or knowledge of proper turbo matching = terrible. Change five things and the car would be amazing.
