So I notice when I ever drive my car (s14) there's always a lot of heat coming from the tranny hole or by the shifter and the other day some smoke was coming threw the hole any ideas on what it could be

Not like there's a pipe of hot gasses right there or anything....
Tell your tranny to stop getting so heated, maybe talk to him/her about their feelings?
your best bet is try and seal it up best you can.. using whatever material to block the heat from coming up.

Try using dei heat reflective racing film stuff around the tunnel area and that should keep some of the heat out, or heat wrap the exhaust system if you wanna gain some ponies and keep it cooler

Heat could be exhaust pipe, smoke could be exhaust leak. Transmissions don't exactly get hot like that.

Please keep your sex life off of zilvia, there are children present who don't know what a tranny is.

When my buddy and I did a vh45de swap we had the same issue at the Y-pipe. Turns out some of the welds burned through and we warped the flanges. It was all exhaust leak. The smoke in the cabin and all the extreme heat coming through the hole. Go on courtesy nissan .com and order that ring that seals the trans tunnel, its like 20 bucks. Keep the smoke out. Than check all your flanges and welds.
I had all my flanges decked flat to make sure the seal is good. It was real check an performance shop can do it.
