Customs goes by the Month and Year in order to import it in the USA.

would help with your sale if you included that.

Great looking car but best to not advertise publicly about the motor swap. EPA requirement for these is original configuration. It may make it in the country but could be a problem later.

I brought an r32 over from Canada about a month ago and they didn't care about the month. The process is super easy and took about 30 minutes.

If you have the vin, a quick FAST check can see the month of manufacture.

but yes, I remember on new years the one guy bringing in the GTR based on manufacture year, no mention about the month obviously.

That guy with the red s14

Yes, Someone did bring one in on new years. After that happen Customs made it clear All Cars must meet month and year to import. You wont see a legal GTR till after August as that's when they were first production started. GTS are welcome but need to meet the month/year to import. I think this is around a good price and should sell if you can provide the info for others.

No, California still requires a very expensive lab test. Also of note is that the 25 year exemption applies to cars that have the original engine with no mods. Usually they don't notice it (and probably won't with an RB) but I am aware of a couple of Land Rover Defenders that had to be sent back because, despite being over 25 years old, they had diesel engines swapped in for the gassers they came with originally.
