it was a fun weekend. Nice to see some old faces/cars again like Wylin, Jason Ng and Nightkids. Haha, Nightkid's car keeps on getting nicer and nicer *sigh*. where was the BBQ?

to all of ya'll who drifted, that was a fun two days was it not? hehe. Speedmonkey, way to represent s14s. I don't think too many s14s made the cut.

if anyone has any video's/pics, post them. I actually didn't get a chance to check out the meet on saturday cause i was too busy worrying about my stupid tire situation everytime i got a break

I had a blast on Sunday, made it to the final 8 with some people I consider to be way better than me. Mickie from Garage Works / Slideways, Mark from Slide Squad, Alex Chang...

Hey guys yeah this weekend was lots of fun, really cool too meet some guys for the first time. I was really excited to make it through the first emination round. Dumb luck really. I spent most of the day facing the wrong way on the course.

yeah i had an awesome time! i wasnt even expecting to drive, but they had a few open spots so that was really cool. Anyway, it was cool seeing old faces again and meeting some new ones. Oh yeah, yeswepromise, i couldnt tell, but was that you giving me a thumbs up or something when i was going through the pits? I was in the black kouki with the spongebob airfreshener. Sorry if i looked mean or anything, i was trying to see who it was. I couldnt really tell who you were looking through my helmet...plus my contacts were all foggy from takin a nap. heh

Anyway, the event was great, one thing though...i really need some kind of bucket seat cuz my right knee is still sore and it still has a fat knot on it from bracing myself all day on the center console! I need that and a frickin 5 speed swap!

fontana is always a great time for me, i didnt see much of the meet going on, i was ussually on the track, or resting at the Vertex/SpeedAlliance tent. sunday was a little disappointing, i was doing great on saturday, but i just couldnt get the hang of the competition course, but it seemed like alot of ppl were having problems, even the pros. it was good though, my first comp, was very nervous, but overall, there was alota good driving. ive also got alot of great video, once i get it onto my computer, and edit it, ill host it up,

There was no BBQ this time..

It was hot (so hot that the gum in my car actually turned to liquid)... I burned... bad. By the time someone gave me sunscreen, it was too little, too late. I spent half my time under a tent and I still burned! Damn sun! :D

I took some pics (I'm usually a pic whore), but it was so hot that I quit after 25 pics. I'll upload them as soon as my site is back up (damn server!).

it was alright imho....i prefer fountain valley park location for a meet, but o well. i wonder what the turn out was this time.

it was alright for me.. yes i met good people and had good talks... but where was the BBQ????? i thought the meet was called 240sx annual BBQ?
and even if there was BBQ, i don't think i would of enjoying eating it with that awful smell...... and strong wind that blew away all the tents...
to me it looked like just DD17. and that's it....

maybe everything happend before 12????? cause i went there a little late...

I came out on sat/sun watched some drifting there was some great drivers out there def. glad I didnt miss it. Cant wait for the 5sp swap so I can start learning some stuff.

hey thanks man. your car is looking good too and congrats on sundays competition! A video of me driving...oh no understeer city!! :D Oh well it would still be cool to see. I hang out at Speed Alliance pretty regularly so dropping it off there would be fine. Did you or someone else get any video of your runs or any of the other sd guys that drove?

Didn't make it to the 240 meet, as my S14 is still in the shop. Made it to the competition on sunday (albeit driving my dad's BMW), which was pretty good. I liked seeing the drivers there, as it really gives you a good idea of just how hard drifting really is, as opposed to D1, where everything looks like it's effortless.

I had a great time driving this weekend. Even though i shredded one of my junkyard tires early in the day. And our canopy blew away no less than 200 times. And i had to cut the anteater off of my towing hook. And a bee flew in my window. Well, it was a good learning experience. Congrats to the winners on sunday.

this was my first meet/event. although i didn't race this time. had so much tire dust! when i scratch my head my nails get black from the dust. my interior was covered with dust. over all i had fun! but my canopy almost flipped on to jspec canopy.. next event i need to bring weights to hold it done.
didn't get a chance to take any pics. i missed the 240sx meet though. but saw alot of very nice cars.
