Short and sweet
This is a mostly original, low mileage 280Z ready to drive anywhere. I tried to sell it last year, but this time I’m serious. Our first child was born a few months ago, so I’ve decided to let someone else enjoy this car as I just don’t have the time anymore. Located in Waynesboro, PA. $8,500 negotiable.

Long version
Overall - great condition, 64,500 miles, 5 speed, mostly original. It is registered as PA Antique, and it can be transferred in PA that way if you want. Show it, drive it...I wouldn't hesitate to drive it anywhere. I used it the past few years to commute to work twice per week during the nice weather months. I put on about 4,000 miles during my ownership. Clean title, ready to go.
History - I've owned it since October 2010. My father owned it for one year before me, and he bought it from a surgeon north of Pittsburgh. The surgeon bought it for his son so they could go racing, but they built an older 3-series instead of this. The surgeon said it came from upstate New York, and that’s as far back as I’ve traced it.
Rust – This is not a rust bucket, but there are spots in the typical places. There are small rust bubbles under the hatch, in the dog leg, and near the driver’s side window.
Body - Metallic Blue paint (307). There is evidence of an older repaint, in the original color though. It includes a fitted car cover. Also, there is a small stone chip in the windshield. The Michelin tires have 8/32 tread left, so they are nearly full tread without dry rot.
Powertrain – My father found a local Datsun expert to help with general maintenance and to diagnose a part-throttle misfire: They installed a new radiator, BPT valve, plugs/wires/coil/cap/rotor, gaskets, and performed some general clean and touch up. The misfire was solved by adjusting the air flow meter spring until air/fuel ratios were correct (there is a bung for an oxygen sensor welded in the exhaust if you want to install a wideband system). I replaced the exhaust piping from the manifold back with 2 ΒΌ inch stainless piping and two mild steel mufflers since the original system was beyond repair. I also replaced the clutch slave cylinder after it failed. There is a small oil leak that I think is coming from the rear main seal, but I haven’t had time to drop the transmission to confirm.
Interior – Original white interior, except it has a dash cap since the original has split in a few places.
My ultimate goal was to make it a fun turbo everyday driver, and I've been collecting parts to install. They'll all be for sale separately or available for a package deal with the car for extra $. The short list: (2) L28ET, complete SDS EFI, new turbo, full brake upgrade (bought from this forum), wheels, Innovate wideband and DAQ, stroker crank, some other stuff.
