I got automatic S13 hatch all stock with subframe collars.

today I drove to work fine...but on the way back the rear of the car started making rattling noise. When I get off gas pedal the right side of the rear would click. Then it started making a more louder rattling sound, when I parked i checked the gears. Went from Park to reverse then to Drive and when going from reverse to drive the rear would rattle and make weird noise that sounds like coming from the diff. Anyone had experienced this before and can point me in the right direction before I go and start wasting money on random things that could not be the issue.

thanks in advance

Check the bolts holding your subframe to the frame to make sure they tightened down to the OEM torque specifications.

From there I would look into replacing your bushings.

Check driveshaft bolts as well as exhaust bolts, sometimes a nut comes loose and a washer is shaking like crazy. happens often to me.

I checked all bolts and they are all tight. bushings are decent, subframe collars on too...on the way to work today, rear started to make howling noise and when turning right, rear starts shaking. :/

Take the subframe collars off for a while to see if the issue continues without the collars.

If its a welded diff it might just need to be changed. After a while they will make some noises and stuff.
