hi all
i have a problem, this morning i tried to start my car, but it did not.
180sx redtop sr20det:
cranks, fuel pump works, spark is present, injectors work.

any fuse or sensor? where should i look for the problem?

There are a few things that will prevent an otherwise healthy working sr20det from starting

A disconnected or faulty engine coolant temp sensor is one of them.

the square one under the intake?
how should i know its faulty?

Fast

Fuel
Air
Spark
Timing.

Verify presence of all these and you'll have your culprit.

I said engine coolant temp sensor, not thermistor or thermal resistor. Yes the square one. The obvious way, would be to check codes, and another would be to replace it, sure... there are things to check In between.

I would call this an "otherwise healthy engine"!
I'm sure people could test this theory that I'm suggesting, but I already know that this will stop an sr20det from starting.

today was still cranking with no result.
so i removed 1 wire from injector to check if i had power there.... and suddenly WOW!!!
and the engine started on 3 cylinders. WTF? connected back the injector wire and it works perfect.
can anyone tell me wtf happened there?

Could've had a loose connection and by moving wires around it got a better connection.

You lied in your description, by the way all the injector should have the same 12v source, so why would you remove a wire to test/check 1? The ecu controls the firing by grounding. Just curious.
You can check codes yourself, something doesn't sound right
5k.

Could be bad fuel or even a crappy battery. Boost leak shouldn't be an issue. It would run like shit.

Also check your grounds and MAF sensor

Part quote.
injectors work.
The ecu stores codes. Is your check engine light wired up, is the consult port wired up?
On the ecu there is a lil diagnostic screw. Use a consult program. Does your check engine light illuminate when you turn the key to on?

my car used to be NA AT according to chasis code. sr20det was swapped in japan. dont know whats there with wiring. the only thing i know about ecu is that i have nistune installed there :D

the check light does not iluminate, even dont know where it should be :)

Then why would you think the check engine light would be illuminated if there were codes.

If you have nistune maybe just maybe you have a consult port.

Do you know which ecu you have? Just look for a led and the diagnostic screw. Search how to pull codes.

i pluged to diagnostics and there were zero errors....

Next time there are issues, the first thing you do is check codes

did you try starting fluid?if it starts with starting fluid you know its fuel related issue.

Grounding points for nissans are always picky. Make sure every ground has a clean ground
