I would totally do it, as long as it isn't perverted or anything, <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>. Just me...

When I lived in AZ many years ago and owned a VW, I had a guy leave a printed bus. card on my car with the club's name. Before the days of the internet, that was the best way to catch other enthusiasts. Worked for me

hmm, I should start doing that. Although I noticed that young drivers are less reliable to keeping their word. They say they would show up to the meets, but they never do.

Oh, I totally hunt people down on the street. Well, I did so with this meet we had in Chicago this last weekend. You're right, they're highly not interested, most of them were in it for show.

I would definitly respond, I love stuff like that, being able to meet people and bs about cars in stuff is great.
Some people are wierded out by stuff like that though, so you never know?
I compliment people on their rides all the time at gas stations and stuff, some are cool about it and you can start up some pretty cool conversations, and some quickly get in their car and scoot off hehe.

You never know people though do ya. Its sad but if a stranger approaches you for any reason you would be a fool to believe they are genuine . Hence a lot of people deciding to just scarper.
me and about 8 teenage friends on a train in Liverpool. I had a leather jacket on and this smack head (heroin addict) as cheeky as you like approaches me complimenting me on it. Sits down with us for god sake. "Lets try it on he was saying. " And you could sense the danger in the air but its awkward because they masquerade behind a friendly smile.
A lot of people cant trust anyone today and you cant blame them

I definitely would respond to a note left on my car.
HippoSleek, where in AZ did you live? I am from Flagstaff and currently living in Chandler.

Halo Z created a flyer for us Z guys. Personally, I don't mind if somebody puts a note on my car saying "nice car blahblahblah". I would make me feel good. If you wanna see the flyer to get an idea email me and I'll send it to you.
yeah , the dude left me a message and we spoke for a few moments.
sounds like a guy worthy of a 240.

I lived in Tempe, near the Lakes (?) (McClintock and south of a "B" road). Of course, at the time, I drove a bright red 1967 VW Bug 'vert that was about the nicest in the area. Last time I was there, there was a rice shop on Rural (?) at the Tempe/Scottsdale line (west side of the street) that had a bitchin 240 (burgundy). It was the first time I became aware of how nice a car it was.
