Hi guys, can anyone answer me if the Bov Diameter has to be the same diameter as the flange? I have a greddy type R and my flange diameter is smaller then the bov hole.

Thank you!

It doesn't have to be the same size...

You're releasing air with the BOV, doesn't matter if you're venting to atmosphere or recirculating. Unless you're running 100psi you shouldn't have any issues. but if you do you should shave the opening up as much as you can.

Actually looking again you should have a more pronounced blow off having the opening that small. Larger volume of air exiting through a smaller hole.

Think of it like when you whistle. If your mouth is open too far you don't get a noise ---- it's only when the opening is small that you get a pronounced sound while exhaling the same amount of air.

That's what I mean exactly.

Just as long as you get a good seal around everything you should be fine.

you could file it open a little more though if you wanted.

If it works it works, it doesn't take a lot to get the air out. If you want to be safe if the future then file it down a little bit and vacuum the shavings out. But you should be set as it is.
