I heard from a lot of people and places that a turbo manifold for a S13 redtop can add 20+ hp to the ground and for S14 can be 30hp to the ground? is that true? is the stock SR manifold that shitty? and is a Z32 MAF a big preformance gain at all? need anwsers thanx

Being as I just put a tubular manifold on my car, I can officially say no way, it doesn't add any power.

It helped spool a little bit, but I'm attributing that to putting a new manifold->turbo gasket in place, since my old one was only about 75% there.

Well, even the cheapass ebay SS autochrome manifolds have been proven to dyno 15 wheel hp. You may not feel it. But for the most part they are beneficial.

As I said, I just didn't feel a change. I'd imagine that the gains from a tubular manifold (i'm running an SS AutoChrome one) are much greater with larger turbos. On a T25, it was almost imperceptible, but then again, I changed a few gaskets at the same time so that may have caused my gains.

It's still well worth it, especially for only $200 or less :)

The Z32 MAF is not a performance mod, it's a supporting mod, like larger injectors, you need it if you're turning up the boost or getting a bigger turbo (or both). but everything else being equal you won't get any power from it.
