Alright So to start things off I own a 93 s13 that i saved from rusting in a field and the owner sold me a car that wouldnt start. (ka24de spun a rod of course).

I took it home and I cleaned it up and decided an RB was the motor for me (20det) Did the swap wasnt too hard learned it was best to take the harmonic balancer off when the motor was out (after my second rb20) but now I have some money and I bought a 26 and I am not scared about my swaps since I can usually do just about everything,

The motor is coming in 2 days and I am going to buy everything to do a complete rebuild, bearings ,rods, etc.

I am currently using Mckinney motor mounts for everything I know i need a custom driveshaft and I have some more questions about the swap itself that I havent found the answers to just yet after scouring the net. and here they are.

1. Does anybody have any fitment pictures of the transmission they used and how well it fit and where the shifter ends up being and did you have to cut the shifter hole any?

2. Ive read the rb20 trans is a direct bolt on but of course those trans have their limits ive been told literally they start going out at 350hp same as the ka's but from what Ive seen with the sr trans which is the same internals as the rb and the ka ive seen them hold up to 500hp I would like a 25 trans but seeing they go for about 1k or more now a days

3. I am thinking about using my current fmic but piping would be all retarded. cx racing makes the kit for the s30's but havent really found much other than the kit that mckinney has on their site for 750.00

4. Ebay lhd twin down pipes ive seen them dirt cheep and have been considering. the elbows and the down pipe for the 26 since i have had good luck out of the one on my swap that I have now even though I hate buying crap off of ebay.

5. Mount kits I have only seen what mckinney has to offer and I love their products but I have been wondering about what else is out there. Zero lift has a kit and I am sure there are more kits out there but what would you recommend

6. Ecus I am looking at a power fc, emanage , and looking at nistune the motor possibly doesnt have an ecu but I am looking for something that I can use I have been told by alot of people if i was to get any ecu get a mines ecu which i have found several, what is so special about them? do they support all things on a stock or is it a certain motor like the 26 n1?

I have done alot of searches and I have not found the information that I want to know. I would like to test fit but I kind of cant since both of my s13s are running fine even my 20 which is really rare. lol.

Please Help me.

I suggest to search harder for your information.

Many of these questions are basic and can be found, such as the AWD transmission does you no good unless you remove the center diff and cut off the extra casing. A 25 transmission is what you want, not a 20.

Why don't you get the car running before you start jumping into ECU alternatives? Seems like you have your priorities mixed up.

I already know these things so your reply is pretty invalid to me. I know you have to take the front diff out. When the motor comes in the pan is going to be sent to raw brokerage to have the work done to make it work.

The motor set is not coming with an ecu so I am thinking ahead since a stock ecu runs about 200 bucks or so that's a good bit of money I could be putting towards an alternative to stock.

And trust me I've been searching alot. More desperate about seeing the fitment of a 25 tranny shifter position

The motor will be getting a full rebuild like I said so I have plenty of time the motor isn't going in until next January or so
