Car ran reliable as can be before it was stolen. (KA24DE)
Thiefs pulled 2 grounds on back of head, wiring from knock sensor pig tail, and took my distributor cap. Car was picked up with ignition in "on" postion and dead battery.

Fixed knock sensor wiring, fixed grounds on head, charged battery; passes multiple load tests.

All fuses good, ECCS(ecm) relay good, fuel pump relay(same as eccs, back up) good, ignition coil relay good.Continuity tests and swapped with like relays and checked for active circuits.

Ecm visual/smell check all good. No burns.

Ignition coil, ignitor chip, and ignition switch all check out good in another running car.

CAS checked per fsm and passes. voltage spikes to 5+ every 180°
Checked to see if upper timing chain/valvetrain issues by seeing if rotor spins while distributor is off and cranking motor. checks out. no timing chainbreak since theft.(checked for upper timing chain break)

Brand new Cap and Rotor / wires

Grounds to motor/firewall/various spots checks out good... checked resistance from negative post to various spots on block/head/firewall.

Continuity from coil to ECM

12V up to the ignition coil

No spark at the coil....:wtf:

Will update if i missed anything. Gone through everything in the ef&ec section of the FSM so far with no results. Going to go back through it tomorrow and act like its day 1 and know nothing.

Any input or ideas. Longshot or not i'll try it. car has been down for 2 months and I just wanna hit 6k and smell some burning rubber again!!!

You say the ecm appears good - have you tried another one? Maybe they damaged it when they fucked with the wiring? Damaged microcontrollers don't have to smoke or anything.

I assume it's showing code 55?

Did they break the ignition? You're sure that there's no way that "on" could only be actually causing "acc" to work, or something like that?

Looking into trying my ecm CAS distributor cap and rotor one by one in a running car. They shoved something(assuming screwdriver) in my ignition and forced it over. Key works flawlessly still. Tried 2 different ignition switches today no results.
Going to recheck everything tomorrow and run a little deeper into checking the ECU pinouts. and yes code 55
