Do you have a BOV? Is it vented to atmosphere? If so, that's your problem.

I forget, does the speed signal go to the cluster first than ecu?
Is this a manual ecu?
There is an idle recovery option that is base on speed, it's 8kmh or 5mph. So if you're sure that's the problem, i'd start there and maybe increase the speed at which recovery takes place, Assuming tps voltage is in the closed range registered by the ecu, already.

I am using Calum RT ECU. I am not sure if too many people are familiar with it but I use Tuner Pro RT for tuning. Any idea where I would start? I am SURE this is the problem because as soon as I come to a complete stop the idle bumps up and evens out instantly.

I would like to post here and confirm that it is indeed at 5mph when the idle jumps back to normal. Did this several times and as soon as the HUD showed 4MPH the idle was back at perfect again. If i keep the car rolling under 5mph the idle goes back to normal instantly. Any direction would be greatly appreciated. Thank You.

Also, I found that the problem is only apparent with A/C on. Otherwise the idle settles fine after going into neutral in any speed.

Because this is an Auto to Manual swap I did not have the neutral or 5th gear sensors connected from the transmission. Could this also be one of the problems? If so, any links to guide me in the right direction?

I'm having the same problem and I suspected that my A/C compressor is packing it in. Engine runs fine while driving and A/C on when coming to a stop or stopped car starts to bog down. Also at speeds above 50MPH A/C cuts out. Once again, I'm suspecting it's time to change the compressor.

Hey JP, thx for ur reply. The thing is I think my compressor is fine. No noises, blows cold, drives fine at any speed, no surging or anything of that nature. And once I slow down to below 5mph idle all of the sudden goes back to normal until the next time I'm slowing down. Everyone says that the neutral positions witch does not need to be hooked up when doing auto to manual swap but maybe this is when it's needed, and it surfaces when u have ac which many SR owners do not install..

Do you have the idle up circuit enabled on your car? Typically when your AC comp kicks on, your rpms drop, then the car corrects itself and idles up.
Have you checked TPS voltages lately?

by any chance, did you delete the idle sensor on the power steering ? I have the same issue but found out it was because i deleted the sensor.

Hi Jr.
Yes, as soon as the A/C compressor kicks on the car idles up. Idles perfect! Until i drive it over 5MPH and go into neutral. Then it idles down to 500RPM (Sometimes dies) until i go below 5MPH and it pops back up to proper idle. Also, the TPS is at .48.

Hi Edwin, nope, ps sensor also hooked up and engine idles up when steering wheel is turned.. I know, it's a mystery however I will get to the bottom of this as I know others must had that problem. As soon as I get over my flu I'm going to hook up the neutral position sensor and 5 th gear sensor and see if that does anything.

Send me a copy of your bin, I'll edit that, then send it back for you to try it, or you can try loading both bins In tuner pro and find that address.
