Would a bad ignition switch allow a motor to crank but get no spark?
Have a no spark issue, have checked many a things just a quick switch question. most likely going to swap a new one in and find out either way.

I doubt it's the ignition switch. What engine do you have?

KA24DE only reason I believe ignition switch is because I have checked a lot to say the least and even the coil/ignitor in a running car and its good. car was stolen and they used a screwdriver shoved in the ignition to start it and i noticed the switch was a little loose but has always been that way. when i got the car back was still in the on position and distributor cap off like they had spark issues. they didn't turn the car off is my point, it died and idk why. I have never had any reliability issues in the 3 years owning it probably 30k miles 2 roadtrips illinois-cali and back.
I figured its a long shot but have tried most everything.
