I don't usually ask for help on forums, but baffled with this problem. First off I have pbm knuckles, control arm, tie rods, eccentric rack bushings. My problems is when car is stopped or slowly moving, when I turn the wheel it will randomly pulsate. Meaning when turning it vibrates/shakes both my wheels and the steering wheel. I thought this was the rack so I put a new one one still same problem. Belt doesn't slip and seems fine and pump makes no noise or anything, the 2 things I'm going to change next. Weird thing is it also does it a little when the car is on jack stands. Any input would help thanks!

You're not running a swirl pot or any after market radiator caps are you? Also, When my rack started to leak and I had to buy a new one from napa...The first 2 racks I bought were bad even though they were "tested and remanufactured" so it very well could be another bad rack and pinion.

Sounds like you hooked up the lines to the rack backwards.

No swirl pot and Hope it's not a another bad rack lol and it's weird because it's the same exact symptoms. Lines are hooked up right, double checked it with my friends chassis, also no kinks or any damage on the lines. No local stores have a pump either I'm about drive a couples hours the get a pump.

Live without power steering for a little while and get a pump off of here or ebay..
Then look on google for some tech write up on taking your old pump apart to see if anything went wrong. The shaft on the pump could have been worn on a side causing it to rattle around?
I've had that happen to a yolk before.
When you removed the rack the first time, I'm assuming you did the rack bushings and checked for any metal in the fluid? Food for thought.

Changed the pump and belt, still doing It. Feels like there is air stuck in the system. I tried bleeding It forever and nothing. There isn't any leaks either so I don't understand how it's not letting the air out. I' have a track event in a few hours :(

Check and make sure your steering shaft,wheels/tires, tie rods, ect. isn't rubbing on anything.

mine does the exact same thing :/
Check ball/heim joints on LCA's/tie rods.
I had the exact same thing after my car sat for two years.
Dealt with it, then went over a ripple strip and all of a sudden my steering went back to normal. I assume it was a seized joint.

But I have brand new pbm knuckles, control arm ect, everything is brand new. Went to track yesterday, didn't affect me as much but still very annoying. I'm thinking next I'll get SS power steering lines just to rule the lines out.

it does sound like trapped air, i use a special made cap that goes on the resevoir, and use a vacuum pump to pull (15in Hg) on it and turn the steering wheel lock to lock 10 times and that usually takes all the air out of the system.

I'll have to try that , just doesn't make sense since every other 240 I have had just bleeding normally worked fine.

You might double check the belt tension on p/s pump. I've had a few at work cause surging in system and the cause was a loose belt. Make sure your by isn't to long also.

true, but if you do try let me know the outcome. it seems like every p/s system i do is different.

Any other other ideas? Still haven't tried bleeding with a pump since I been busy trying to find why my car won't hold boost after the event lol

sorry it took me so long to get back, have you tried turning the steering wheel lock to lock several times but with the front wheels of the ground? i know some manufacturers say to lift the front end off the ground. let me know if you have resolved the problem or this helps.
