I got a S15 SR20DET with 6 speed for my 510. Went to replace the clutch and this was in there. A dual disk excedy G-Max and is stamped NISMO. It's way to much clutch for my build. The question I have is the fly wheel specific to that GMax clutch? Or can I re use this one in my new clutch?

You can reuse the flywheel. Take the flywheel to a machine shop and have them resurface it before reusing.

Think you misread what he's asking. If I'm reading it correct, he's not planning on running the same clutch and wants to run a different clutch. If I'm reading between the lines correctly, he's probably planning on running a regular oem style clamp style clutch.
If that's the case, NO, he cant reuse that flywheel since its specific to that twin plate clutch. He would need to buy another OEM or aftermarket/lightened flywheel to run a different clutch.
Personally, I'd inspect that clutch and see how much life is left on it and if its good, just re-use it until it starts slipping. Why waste a perfectly good clutch if its still good? Twin plates are never overkill, I'd rather run those than some extreme pressure plated clutch that likes to give your left leg a work out.
