10mm Bolt On Spacer Question

Was looking at some 10mm bolt on spacers as I purchased new wheels. The thing is the front require a 10mm spacer. I am not trying to spend close to $200 for a set of Project Kics ones.

I went on Ebay and saw these. How the hell do they bolt to the hub??

When you want to save money by purchasing cheaper (possibly lower quality) parts, think about the location and where it goes. If it breaks or is defective, are you okay with the consequences?

As for how they are mounted on the car, the picture on the background is how they SHOULD be mounted. But the product photo looks to be slip on spacers.

I would imagine the nuts would protrude out further than the spacers.

Do the wheels you run have clearance on the back-pad for this? If not, your wheels won't sit flush on the spacer.

!Zar! I agree with him, never heard of a bolt on spacer that is 10mm.

15mm I have seen and purchased before in the past from poweredbymax.net.
The ones pictured above are for a European car such as VW, Audi, Mercedes, ect. Those are lug bolts which our Japanese cars do not use.

Purchase these if you are in "need" of spacers.

Yes the wheels have clearance slots cut on the back for this.

those are not bolt on spacers. they provide you with longer bmw style wheel studs that will not work with your car. If you install longer wheel studs these will work though.

I think getting slip on spacers (10mm) and extended ARP studs is your best option. Make sure they have hub rings as well or they may keep your wheels from mounting correctly. At one point I had the ichiba v2 bolt on spacers and the studs on those POS's were loose after a while. I took out the studs making them slip ons, and haven't had any problems since.

the ones originally pictured are VW style spacers, they you a lug stud instead of the typical stud and lug nut like most cars

np, just make sure the studs are pressed all the way in when you install them.

Just get the isis spacers from en ju enjuku racing. They slip right on and you won't need extended studs till you go 15mm

Why not just get 15mm bolt ons? It's only 5 more mm and you won't need extended studs, or Parts Shop MAX. They're adjustable from 3mm - 30mm.

There's a lot of debate about the safety of wheel spacers. Slip on's typically don't have a hubcentric ring so the wheels and much of the load is put on the studs on the hub. Having old stock studs plus slip on spacers is risky and should not be done if you haven't replaced and/or extended your studs. But I've seen guys use ARP studs and slip ons and they were just fine.

Bolt ons are the same affair, imo, especially the PBM ones which are only hubcentric on the hub side and not the wheel side. Not 100% sure if that makes a difference but I would imagine that much of the load will be placed on the PBM studs which isn't ideal.

Ah, I agree, I've ran non hub centric and they're awful. The link I posted is hubcentric for Nissan which is why I suggested

I have 20mm ebay bolt on spacers and they've been fine for over a year so far. They're just spacers lol.
