I'm puzzled at the issue my car is giving me and really not sure how to approach this.
R33 GTR RB26 basic bolts ons, boost up ecu.
The car was sitting for 7 months due to deployment (was running perfect before I left). When I got back I replaced battery.
Within 10 minutes of the car running it would die. Won't start back up until you wait 5-10 minutes, and it will act like it never had a problem in the first place. The car will run perfect then randomly shut off.
I'm stumped any ideas? Thanks gentlemen...

Thanks for your service hope to be joining the Navy soon. Check for fuel pressure when it dies.

Is the car warming up? Can you smell fuel? I know with RB's (same thing happened with my RB) the coolant temp sensor going to the ECU (the two wire sensor in the intake manifold) had gone bad and was telling the ECU that the car was still cold. When the ECU sees that, it adds more fuel, which in turn would make it run too rich and could die like that if it was too rich. Just a quick idea but it could be a myriad of things.

Car warms up to normal operating temperature. When it shuts off Its not being starved of fuel or spark it will shut off just like if I was to turn off the car, nice and smooth.

So when the car dies, does all the dash lighting and all turn off as well or does all that stay on? I would say check some of your grounds to make sure all of them are connected well and aren't loose.

^thats also a good point. didn't even think of that. now that i think about it, that makes sense. happened to my buddy last week actually. thought it was his alternator but it was actually a loose ground for the battery
