View Full Version : Chasebays Harness Problem!
Who here has dealt with ChaseBays harnesses and how was your install? They sent me a harness with a few mis pinned and missing wires. It's been extremely difficult getting them to respond since I mentioned the problem. There is no way of contacting them by phone!
When I turn the IGN ON my gauges come ON, when I remove the key the gauges stay ON! Seriously?! Gaah!
Fuel pump wire is MIA! Meaning there's no wire in place at all on the ECU plug! It's not there! How can something so important like the fuel pump output wire be missing?! Blows my mind!
It's making me anxious! I don't do well when I'm anxious!
Suggestions? Ideas? Assurance?

It's much more difficult than it has been since they stopped phone calls. Just keep emailing them and I'm sure Chase will get back to you.
He replied today around 11am after I hadn't heard from them for awhile and said he'd "call me shortly", still have not gotten a call, so once again I'm left in the dark for another day. It's past their opening hours so I doubt he'll call me today.
All I want is this damn harness to work so I can get my car going! If it's not too much to ask of Chase to help his customer that is. Especially being a $1000 part I think a little help would be nice. Being ignored when there's a problem with the product is so aggravating!
They usually answer my emails within a couple hours if it's a general question, but when it's a problem it takes days to answer, and somehow my emails are accidently missed!
It's not like I'm complaining about nothing, the harness is defective and literally missing wires. Help me out Chase!

That is not what I wanted to hear.... What did your friend end up doing?
I don't understand their problem. They clearly have a guide and pinout for their harness. Yet when you look at the chasebays guide there are mistakes! What the hell is going on over there. A simple look over of the harness before shipping it out can prevent any customer issues like this.

Well he tried a billion times but either chasebays would "transfer him to another representative" and hang up or wouldn't answer. But like I told him the other day since he ordered a tweaked harness, is to make a video of a chasebays and tweaked harness without touching either of them. Just so atleast chasebays can see that they made a mistake and get refunded. It's clearly pined wrong, since I went over the whole harness 3 times, although I didn't repin nothing, left it how it was sent. Either try to get your money back , or repin it and sell it , or just make your own harness or buy a new one from another reputable place. I made my own and I'm happy with it.
He said he'd call me today if I gave him a convenient time. I did and he never called or emailed. I will give this guy till the end of the week. If he continues to refuse to help me figure this out and continues to blatantly lie and setup bullshit call times then, oh man... I better get my money back! I did not pay $1000 for some fool to send me a bunch of shitty wires that do not work!
I don't know about you guys but being straight up lied to pisses me off A LOT! All he has to do is help me figure this out and make it right! It's EASY! I'm not a hard person to deal with! If it takes time so be it, but respond honestly at least!

DO NOT SEND HARNESSES BACK to Chase Bays. Have someone local fix it or you will regret the ENTIRE transaction.
My harness was missing more than a couple of wires. No TPS wire or MAF hotwire pinned at all, no fuel pump signal, dash lights stay on all of a sudden, etc...
Luckily a friend of mine has fixed quite a few (12 or more) of their harnesses and offered a little assistance.

I've heard and seen a lot of this stuff from Chase Bays. The owner used to work with Ry-wire (big in the honda community) stole a lot of his ideas and started his own company which sucks. Beware.

Credit card charge back maybe? Call your bank man. I would never buy from this company without some form of protection. Too many negative reviews.
This guy is a CLOWN! He has lied to me again and has avoided me once more! I'm SICK OF IT!
DO NOT BUY FROM CHASEBAYS!
People from different forums have advised me NOT to return it because he has lied and said the harness has been damaged even though it came back in the original condition! So they were charged extra for tampering with it as well as a restocking fee! I've talked to two guys already that have gone to court against chasebays for this!
It seems my best option is to suck it up and fix this mess myself! I don't want to have anything to do anymore with this shameless fool!
Since I'm done dealing with this prick I'll post the whole story here.
I bought a brand new "Plug and play" harness from them for about a grand! Took them two months roughly to complete it and send it to me. I then used another 2 1/2 months going to work and putting my engine together at the same time while waiting for the machine shop for my cyl head so I wasn't able to confirm if the harness was legit or not. After I got everything together and tried to start it, it didn't fire. Contacted Chase and he gave me an ecu pinout, he also said "there should be a GRN/YEL wire coming out from the ecu for the fuel pump signal". There was NO wire in said location! After I told him this, With Incredible patience mind you! he started "losing" my emails accidently and having family emergencies (funny I remember reading about him saying that to someone else too). It's been like this for weeks now and Chase still refuses to help in anyway. I was contacted by a couple guys and they suggested I do not return it because they've lost lots of money trying for a refund. I was told by one of them that when they returned the harness in it's original condition Chase took money out for damage to the harness and a restocking fee, so he sued for his money!
I don't want to ever deal with this guy again and I'm choosing to fix it and avoid all the mess of dealing with this kid Chase. You can buy if you want but he completely screwed me out of $1,000! Because I trusted Chasebays and thought his harness was "PLUG AND PLAY" like it's advertised and I waited, I completely screwed myself. The only chance of me getting my money back is to go to court, because I most definitely know that he's not willing to give me my money back without claiming the harness was damaged by me or something stupid of that nature. I would not put it past someone like this guy. I'm done!

I'll be getting my LS1 to S13 harness from Wiring Specialties.
Did they ever make anything that wasn't complete junk? Now that they advertise on sites it seems their quality has gone from bad to fucking terrible.
Wires that are either missing or not pinned correctly according to Chasebays ecu pinout diagram that was emailed to me for my harness last week.
A21 OR B68] Fuel pump output-[missing
B15] Inj6-[mis-pinned
B52] Coil6-[mis-pinned
B43] TPS-[missing 12v wire :picardfp:
B45] IAT-[mis-pinned
B50] #1knock sens-[missing
B79] ECU Ground-[missing
B47] o2 signal-[missing
Now, either Chase is a moron, or he needs to fire some employees. Both are highly possible from my dealings with Chase, but how.. Just How?!

I don't know how they were before, but the way they are now I would rate them at the lowest 1% scum of businesses I've dealt with.
