I bought a Godspeed sway bar for my s13 hatch and am having trouble making it fit, it's about an inch short, i was thinking it was for the s13 coupe maybe? But it would still fit the hatch right? Ugh it's a pain :sadwavey:

this will sound silly but did you try turning the bar around. ive heard people have had that issue before.

There is no difference between a coupe and a hatch. Are you sure you're not putting a front on rear or a rear on a front?

I hope that this is not the case. Nobody should be allowed to work on any vehicle if one attempts to do this out of stupidness.

Wound up drilling a new hole for it and making it work

It should be easiest to install the front with both front wheels off the ground and off the car. It will be harder to install when wheels are weighing down the suspension.

Another thing is to make sure that the car is not sagging to one side - you can do this by jacking in the rear using the differential, or in the front on the front subframe/crossmember. Jacking from one tow hook (or two tow hooks, but at different heights) will twist the body, and hence make it harder to install.
