View Full Version : Do Achilles Atr Sport run big?

My question is, do Achilles Atr Sport (specifically these http://www.onlinetires.com/products/vehicle/tires/achilles/215%252F40-18+achilles+atr+sport+89w+bw.html) run big or true to size? I'm planning on getting 215-40-18 and stretching it over a 18x9.5 and I would really like a tire that is true to size. I've already researched plenty of tires and these happen to be within my price range also.
Before I get flamed with "we have a search button for a reason," I've spent the last hour looking for an answer, both on zilvia and google. Some people say they run true, some say they run big, and it seems like it's all hear-say. So if you've had any experience, please help me out, thank you.

I'll find out tomorrow I'll compare my 225/40/18 to my current 225/40. I'll be running them on my 18x10 equips.

Never actually measured them but I think they run about right, based on 225/45-17s I've run.

He's right, they run true to size. Nankangs I know run 10mm small.

He's asking a legit question, if you having nothing to contribute mr. "Track guy" then gtfo.
Nothing more irritating than someone asking a serious question and another person bashing on him because he doesn't like his car.

GTFO if you're going to advocate the slide that has happened in this forum over many years because you think we should all shit rainbows around here.
You joined in 2011, you're part of the problem since you're obviously butt hurt over calling it like it is.
Go back to the Honda you probably had before.

i dont even understand how something like this deserves recognition. its a shitty tire. i'de suggest doing your own research and looking up the manufacturers tread & sectional width specifications, but....... not sure if youre capable of such.
haha mr track guy. i never thought ide see the day where people make fun of smart guys who build well-engineered/fast things.

Eh, in their defense, I fucking loved drifting ATR Sports. They were surprisingly sticky for cheap ass tires and didnt delaminate. I'd take them over other cheap tires like Pinzo or Nankangs, heck, I'd take these tires over Federals.

Got the tires mounted today, super easy to stretch, only took the mounter like 5 mins per tire

i got these tires on my daily TDI.
225/35/19 on 19x9... they do stretch nice, seem to run a little bit narrow in comparison to bridgestone potenza re050a.
cheap, high tread wear..rolling noise is loud as fuck though
