Hi all, my window has been giving me problems for a month or so now, some times it works sometimes it doesn't. i have to slam the door hard for the windo to go up or down or punch the side of the door.i removed the door card and when i hit the switch i can hear the amp clicking and getting power. i havent checked the ohms or any circuitry. i really suspect the window motor to be the issue at hand. know im stuck with the window all the way down and will not go up. Is there anyway to bypass the window motor to get the window up or any other options.

Window amp might click but still doesn't work. Take the amp out, open it up, clean it, and put beads of solder on all connections/circuit pathways and you should be good.

There's a nylon roller in there connected to some metal joints. You might have to clean all the crusty dirt out of your roller and re-grease it.
Have S14, and I had to do that to mine a while back.

Take everything apart and run 12v to the window motor. Reverse polarity if you need it to go the opposite way. If it doesn't work, your problem is the window motor.

And is it a 95 or 96-98. The window circuitry is different.
From what I remember, 97-98 S14 do not have the window amp at the door. Only the 95-96 models have the window amp near the window switch behind the door panel. My 96 has the amp there as well.
OP from your symptoms it sounds like your window amp is giving you issues. This is a fairly common problem on s-chassis. That is why when you slam the door or bang on the door panel the loose connections on the window amp get moved back into place allowing you to roll your window up/down.

Mines done this through out the years. Take your window switch out of door. Get a small pick set and a clean table and very carefully tear the switch apart.it all just snaps apart. Be careful now to pay attention to some very small pc's. These are the pc's that's what makes connections to the contact points. Clean all dust and contacts and pc's and snap all back together. Bam should work.

Mine was doing that too, the window would only work when I close the door holding it down or punch the door card, but eventually stopped working completely. I thought it was my drive side window motor since my sunroof and passenger windows work and I have a brand new window switch and a used window amp off ebay to replace my old faulty amp. The amp would get power and "click" but my driver window wouldn't budge. When I supplied 12v directly to the motor it went up and down without a hitch. I plugged my old window amp in, which I cleaned and soldered, and it works perfectly.
