i don't know if Bush's main reason going into iraq was solely to find WMD, i think it was more of a case of Bush thinking this guy is a dangerous ruler and a possible threat to America, and that he needed to be taken out. of course, the reason of WMD was much more politically correct, and while it was not a total lie, because his best advisors did think there were weapons there, it was a misleading course of actions and words taken by Bush.

personally, i would have supported us going in and taking out Saddam and trying to turn the country around. i don't know how many others would agree with me, but i think it will prove better for us in the long run. and this hostage stuff? that shits been going on over there for centuries, its just now that American's are the victims.

on a deeper scale, this whole middle east crisis all, obviously, stems from Israel and the whole struggle between Jews and Muslims. This will never go away because the Jews will not just get up and leave, and the Muslims refuse to compromise, they want all Jews dead and gone. And ever since America set up Israel, the entire region has taken that as America being against Islam, and now the people of the region are so brainwashed by state controlled media and clerics that the problem is worse than ever.

to stop my rambling, this country and Bush need to wake up and realize that we aren't fighting just a few straggling rebels, and that this war is still very much alive. i think Bush has two choices, the first being just withdrawing totally and leaving the country and the the people to decide where the power will fall, or two, going at them full force again and establishing and maintaining a firm control until a decent government can be decided on by the people.

btw..the 6/30 deadline is coming up, i wonder how this shit's going to play out.

i can't tell if the 'he' in your statement is referring to Bush or one of the contractors killed. if you are talking about the contractors, you're way off base. these guys were there building the country up, not blowing shit up. these guys chose to go to a dangerous situation, yes, but that does not warrant the brutality showed to them by enemies with blind hate for anything non-Muslim. Islam is a wonderful religion when interpreted properly, but these guys are using religion as a means to kill, makes my agnosticism, if thats a word, all that much more sensible
