and yes the pics are crappy...this stuff is kinda reflective so it doesnt take to pictures well...anyway:

the stuff i used was herculiner and its pretty easy to use. what i did was rip up all the sound deadening material on the floor with a heat gun. then took a wire wheel to the surface to give it something to bite to and to remove any leftovers of the sound deadening material. i think it looks pretty good and it will look better once the rest of the interior is back in place (interior is everything except the carpet, pretty much)
ill take some more pics tomorrow when i put it all back together

Doesn't that stuff weigh a lot.
I don't think so. I have a rattlecan of that stuff and.. the rattlecan doesn't weigh any more than a normal spray can. It certainly weighs less than, say, the trunk carpet in an S13.

I was going to use bed liner too but, only where the front floor mats used to be.

possibly a replacement for the stained old looking carpet, possible weight reduction, or even looks.

Flybert: no, its barely weighs anything at all...i should have weighed the can, but the whole box (including a brush, a gallon can of hurculiner and two rollers) couldnt have weight more than 15-20 lbs.
AKADriver: i put on two coats (it what is says in the instruction box) and the second coat i kinda used a lot...i used 3/4 of a gallon can
kandyflip445: i did it mainly for weight reduction...and i hadnt seen it done anywhere else (not to my knowledge) and i wanted something that wouldnt slip under my feet while trying to autocross (as in a glossy paint surface)
i should have pics posted up in a few hours after i get off my lazy ass...

hey, nice work, i dig this alot. how strong is this bedlining? any of it start to crack off?

well, i havent really had a chance to drive it around (you can tell by the missing shifter>missing engine)
but i have kinda been hard on it since it cured fully a few days ago and it takes the abuse pretty well, and it doesnt crack at all...the little bubbles are chunks of polyurathane (for texture) and the rest seems to be almost rubbery
i kinda half tempted to put just the floor mats back in b/c this stuff isnt the nicest thing to scrape skin across lol...but we'll see how it holds up
