cars piss me off

Let it be known right now that I VASTLY prefer driving to fixing things.

Well my #3 spark plug hole is cross-threaded. No fault of my own, the last dumbass that changed plugs in this car did it. The threads are nasty looking and I can't get another plug in.

I'm glad I don't have to daily drive this car. Still pisses me off something fierce. I'm just venting at this point - I know my options, either helicoil it or pay someone to do it. I'm real hesitant to do it myself because based on past experience, I'm just going to make it worse. :rolleyes:

I know how you feel, we just stripped my Alumi 300ZX caliers at the line fitting so we have to do the helicoil on those, just a PITA. Plus my car has been out of commision for 10 months on top of this and its about to be road worthy again... but of course this had to happen.

Yup. This is a new (to me) car that I just bought, that's the worst part. It's not even registered yet, I was doing some PM before I took it in for inspection.
