View Full Version : Plastic piece behind gas pedal?

So I found out a couple of days ago that the plastic piece behind the gas pedal is essentially 'broken'. By broken I mean it is detached and there is no possible way to hold it together. Without that plastic piece that gas pedal is very loose. I have tried tightening the throttle cable and every time I do, I check to see if the pedal is loose or not. So once I apply pressure to the gas pedal it feels good then it just becomes loose as soon as I push the pedal all the way down.
**I added pictures it is the blue thing attached the to black thing.
I need to know how in the world do I fix this? I do not want to be ghetto and use tape/glue. Thank you.

How did you do it? It seems like one cannot rip it out without taking the entire throttle cable out.

Basically, you need some kind of spacer there. Make a small cut on the plastic spacer, so you can push the cable through.

So I would need to make a small cut the white/beige spacer and push the cable through? Through what? I'm having a hard time understanding what you are trying to say, sorry.
