Fixed several issues I was having with my 240 not being able to start, and ran into another one. We can't get any spark to the spark plug wires, the ignition coil is getting power and I have the right ECU, put the dizzy in with the engine in tdc and still nothing. It cranks, but won't actually start.

I had a similar problem I know you are not getting spark at the wire but you are getting power at the coils but are you getting an spark from the wire that goes from the coil to the dizzy? If you are getting spark from that wire then it could be your dizzy rotor. Not sure if that's the answer just trying to help.

How do I check if it is getting spark? Could it be the timing on the dizzy

The wire that goes from the coil to the dizzy, leave one end plugged into the coil and the other end in your hand ( be cautious) have someone try to start your car and take the end of the wire and hold it close to a grounding point like a bolt and see if it sparks while cranking the engine. If there is a spark change your dizzy rotor and see if your car starts.

Did you find out what the problem was?

Yeah, something stupid. The ground wire for the ignition coil was cut at the ECU
