how to get compressor to switch on?

Ok here is my problem. When I hit the ac button half of the time the button light turns green and sometimes it does not. Maybe that button is broke? Although I touch the button the compressor does not turn on. I changed the relay and checked the fuse and those two are good. I tried hooking up a straight wire to the compressor giving it 12volts and the compressor came on. So I believe that its an electrical problem. What else is there that would cause the compressor to kick on? Is there another relay? In the schematics I see a second relay although I didn't see it in the engine compartment. Does anyone know where the second relay is, even if there is one? Or what else could it be?

Do you have enough freon? :shrug: I finally got my A/C working after EVERYTHING in the world seemed to be wrong with it, and now I sit where you are. Button sometimes lights up. Freon is what I was suggested, but im sure my pressure is good... shrug
