So I'm building an sr20det for 500hp but in the meanwhile gonna buy a neo rb25det, in the near future I'm gonna build this as well. Haven't purchased yet but it's on reserve for me.

Powergoals are 500hp min upward of 800hp
So furthermore does anybody have experiences with the neo in general?

How about heavily modified as in full bolt on, fully built forged, gt35 and bigger turbo setups, +25psi?

Again neo!

Plenty rb25 and 26 setups but no neo feedback.

Worst case scenario I cancel and get a rb26dett but let's stay on topic.

Thanks ahead of time.

All a matter of preference. Its easier to find supporting parts for Series 1/2 RB25s compared to NEOs, but NEOs have solid lifters and pretty much built as close as you can get to an RB26 internally.

If thats your power goal...honestly cheaper to get there with a boosted LSX.

Parts for the NEO are harder to find, but there out there since the Apexi brought back there PFC version. By harder to find there might be y a few company with cams, injectors etc and then you have to find who has them in stock and price. At the time I was in the market Tomei and Blitz only offered PNP injectors, and Used PFC's were going to 1-1.5K and if you slept on it, it was gone. I was just below 400ps and its the best thing I've driven. The torque was always there, the average tuned GT-R wasnt a threat at all. Depending on the setup and tuning you can touch 500 without internals. This has been done by multiple shops in Japan.
