Hey Guys,

Ran some custom PS lines with AN fittings on the pump and rack side of the HP hose and rack side of the reservoir return, res to pump is the factory line. The PS rack hard lines were replaced with used lines and have no kinks. All the threads were sealed with high pressure sealant.

When I drive it with no HP line connected it manually turn fine, same with the accessory power on and no engine, it turns with no hesitation too. Turn the car on no problem, try to turn the wheel and VIOLENT SHAKE, rev and it stops.... I am stumped!

Please help!

OK I saw a video on reddit that had this happening. Here was someone's explanation:

If it's an electric power assist steering system, the power leads to the assist motor were probably reversed. In that case, when torque is applied in one direction, the motor applies assist in the opposite direction, causing an unstable feedback loop.
If hydraulic, probably reversed something in the control valve, causing the same response.
Source: Work for a steering company and have done this on accident with an EPS. China forgets red is + and black is - sometimes.

Awesome, that makes sense, especially since the engine powers up when steering force increases. However I should add that I have removed the sensor and the apparatus (whatever that thing is that has the sensor).

any idea how to override or disable it?

Also, FINALLY found this, to essentially confirm FourtyKid's find...

Turn out they're most likely reversed, will confirm tomorrow.
