So I'm newer to the 240 scene, I have a single cam s13 coupe.. And I would like to swap it this next year, and I was wondering what would be the most reliable setup, I was leaning towards black tops, seem to sound like people find them more reliable, and I would like to run e85. But anyway I was just seeing what people would recommend, I would like to get 350-450 whp, I want to build it right, and I'm probably going to have a budget around 3-4000$ for the build. Any part list's people have? I and I'm not completely set on the black top, or even the sr20. Thanks guys, just let me know what you guys think.

Practically, the differences between black top and red top motors are insignificant. the VVL SR can make the most power, but very few people go there.

3-4k will get sucked up for a good turbo and manifold, alone. Good luck.

Are you doing the work yourself, or paying someone else to do it?
