Aside from installing my aero and painting I'm pretty much done with the build so I thought I would share my little build with everyone.

I bought the car in southern California from a fellow Zilvian Driftwurks. The car was pretty much stock aside from new PBM Coilovers and some S14 seats. Stock SOHC that ran great with some Drift Freaq motor and transmission mounts.

At this point my life took a little bit of a turn and I moved back to Texas and began to tear into the car. The car on the left is my good buddy Alex Groves' car. I'd like to take this time to thank him for all the help he has given me with my car as it wouldn't be where it is today without it. DYNOMITE!!

First purchase was a new wheel and quick release to make that SOHC feel a little more "racecar like"

http://i744.photobucket.com/albums/xx86/abe2branscome/IMG_1596.jpg (http://s744.photobucket.com/user/abe2branscome/media/IMG_1596.jpg.html)

Started sourcing some parts. These are the first set of knuckles I had on the car. Forrest Wang's Get Nutz S14 knuckles. I converted everything to 5 lug and installed S14 LCA's along with Megan racing Roll Center Correcting ball joints all around.

Thes knuckles are for sale now by the way. Nothing wrong with them. This was just one of two sets I had lying around and the other ended up on the car and I am pleased with them.

http://i744.photobucket.com/albums/xx86/abe2branscome/IMG_1600.jpg (http://s744.photobucket.com/user/abe2branscome/media/IMG_1600.jpg.html)

Alex has the hook up at work on a huge sand blaster so both front and rear subframes along with just about every other piece that could be blasted was and painted.

http://i744.photobucket.com/albums/xx86/abe2branscome/IMG_1718.jpg (http://s744.photobucket.com/user/abe2branscome/media/IMG_1718.jpg.html)

http://i744.photobucket.com/albums/xx86/abe2branscome/IMG_1717.jpg (http://s744.photobucket.com/user/abe2branscome/media/IMG_1717.jpg.html)

Installed a welded diff along with SPL subframe bushings.

http://i744.photobucket.com/albums/xx86/abe2branscome/IMG_1720.jpg (http://s744.photobucket.com/user/abe2branscome/media/IMG_1720.jpg.html)

More sand blasted / painted goodness... Installed poly energy suspension bushings everywhere.

http://i744.photobucket.com/albums/xx86/abe2branscome/IMG_1767.jpg (http://s744.photobucket.com/user/abe2branscome/media/IMG_1767.jpg.html)

Ordered all SPL arms and I assure you they are 100% worth the money. Insanely strong.

http://i744.photobucket.com/albums/xx86/abe2branscome/IMG_1769-1.jpg (http://s744.photobucket.com/user/abe2branscome/media/IMG_1769-1.jpg.html)

http://i744.photobucket.com/albums/xx86/abe2branscome/IMG_1771-1.jpg (http://s744.photobucket.com/user/abe2branscome/media/IMG_1771-1.jpg.html)

Still SOHC at this point but the suspension is completed so I ordered my first set of wheels. Mustang Reps 17x10 +20 I think is the offset. 15mm Spacer up front and I think they look great for the price.

http://i744.photobucket.com/albums/xx86/abe2branscome/IMG_1777.jpg (http://s744.photobucket.com/user/abe2branscome/media/IMG_1777.jpg.html)

Picked up a Silvia front from a buddy in Ohio on a trip back to see the family. All metal OEM off of a clip from Zerolift. Thanks Clayton.

http://i744.photobucket.com/albums/xx86/abe2branscome/IMG_1857.jpg (http://s744.photobucket.com/user/abe2branscome/media/IMG_1857.jpg.html)

Silvia front installed.... Rear subframe back out due to hitting a curb. Long story... keep the drifting on the track or at least where there isn't 6" curbs nearby... This is why I can attest to the strength of the SPL arms... Hit at about 30 MPH and destroyed LCA but not so much as a tweak or scratch to any arms.

http://i744.photobucket.com/albums/xx86/abe2branscome/IMG_2078.jpg (http://s744.photobucket.com/user/abe2branscome/media/IMG_2078.jpg.html)

Fitting the DorkiDori side skirts. I love the look of these things

http://i744.photobucket.com/albums/xx86/abe2branscome/IMG_2604-1.jpg (http://s744.photobucket.com/user/abe2branscome/media/IMG_2604-1.jpg.html)

Aquired some drift spares from my buddy Alex after the 2013 Lone Star Drift Series.

http://i744.photobucket.com/albums/xx86/abe2branscome/IMG_3039.jpg (http://s744.photobucket.com/user/abe2branscome/media/IMG_3039.jpg.html)

Removed the SOHC and sold it for 300$ and cut my fenders and cleaned the engine bay up quite a bit. Eliminating all the unnecessary bullshit wiring that comes stock in the S13.

http://i744.photobucket.com/albums/xx86/abe2branscome/1233955_10151890135860855_1743419182_n.jpg (http://s744.photobucket.com/user/abe2branscome/media/1233955_10151890135860855_1743419182_n.jpg.html)

Picked this little fella up from Alex's S14 to help him get out of debt from the 2013 Drift season and hopefully fund his LS swap.

S15 SR20DET with a 5speed SR trans.

Turbo was blown so I picked up a Garrett 2871R-15... Best damn decision I have made so far.

Engine installed. Dont mind the dirty bay... This particular picture was taken just after the first drift event.

Started working on my interior. Tore out the heater core and every single bit of wiring and started from scratch. WAY EASIER. Got my ARC8000 in the mail. By far in my opinion one of the easiest/ cheapest routes for wiring up any car.

Alex and I welded up a cage that turned out much better than I anticipated. Still have to paint it but you get the idea.

I think that about wraps up everything so far. I have a Z33 transmission standing by to install. Just need to order driveshaft and a few other things to make that happen. Trying to source a front bumper and a set of bricks before installing aero and going to paint. Will post more later.

Not bad so far. Please tell me you're keeping it two tone and not painting it some other color.

As a fellow two-tone (currently stock) owner, your build inspires me lol. I was thinking of getting Saleen reps but could never find a pic of them on a two-tone coupe; your build has fulfilled that haha. Well done man

One question: what size tires are your running? And it looks like the rear needed a pull, correct?

abe2branscome

THANKS MAN!!! It's been rough but I am truly happy with the results. I did roll / pull the rear a little. I'm running 225/45/17 tires. The 10" wide Saleen reps work perfect with no spacer. However the other 6 wheels that I have are the 10.5" and they do need a tiny spacer to clear the RLCA.

And since this car isn't anything near a daily for me I just plan to use the MPH app on my iphone to keep track of speed.... Seems like way too much trouble to get all of that sorted out lol.

where are you ordering your driveshaft from ? someplace online that doesn't need the ends ? or doing it local ?

I can attest to bad-assery that is this car. Chris let me drive it at LSD Round 1 this year after we finished the cage and wiring and it's an absolute blast. Fast as fuck.

You cunts are gonna cream your panties after his next update...

It's been a bit since I've updated this. I've gotten my rocket bunny knock off kit from a local guy. I'm about to order my driveshaft. To answer the question about where from, well I've found one from shaftmasters.com for a pretty reasonable price. I will post pictures soon. Thanks for all the love!!!!

Woo! My old car! :) I am so glad the car fell into the hands of someone who would make good use of the car and build it properly! I've been meaning to ask, which mounts are you using now for your engine/transmission and how do you like them?

It's already been addressed, the DP in the pic fit horribly and was never run on the car. It's got a CX racing pipe or some crap on it now.

So for one of the first times in my life I held onto a car long enough to finish it. Aside from painting wheels white this is done. I'm sure upgrades will come eventually.

I started with dorki dori but then sold them and bought a knock off rocket bunny kit off of a guy on here.
