I'm getting a lightweight flywheel for my 1j swap but I notice weights vary from about 10lbs - 14lbs (stock is 19)
I know this is a 240 forum not a supra one.. But I have no personal experience with lightened flywheels, basically I was wanting to know if it's worth it to pay the extra 150 for a 11.5 pound one instead of a 14lb one? Would it be that noticeable?

The difference can be noticed if one is already used to 14lb flywheel or a stock flywheel.

However you may not notice the difference since, it seems as if, you have never used a stock flywheel or a 14lb flywheel either.

Less rotational mass means your engine reaches the red line faster. You will have to develop more throttle control with 11lb flywheel.

If you are just now learning how to use a manual transmission. Stick with a 14lb flywheel.

So for me never having drove a 1j 240 the 14lb one will be fine? I'm only buying cause I need a flywheel anyway and eClutchMasters has the 14lb one for like $200, pretty close to stock price

The 14lb flywheel will be plenty for you. Wait until you need to buy another flywheel before getting something lighter.

Read the following thread so that you don't mess up a new flywheel. Pay attention to the posts left by "S14DB".
