Introducing the Maverick Motorsports JZ/VQ 6 speed Adapter Kit!

This kit allows you to easily bolt on a stronger, better shifting, and cheaper 350z/370z/g35/g37 6 speed transmission to ANY JZ engine.

Similar to our other kits, we provide a CNC cut, CAD designed adapter plate made from 6061-T6 aluminum. We also include a pilot bearing sleeve to adapt the Nissan pilot bearing in the JZ crank. Additionally we include all the hardware needed(engine bolts, transmission bolts, and flywheel bolts).

The other crucial part of the swap is the custom flywheel made specifically for this swap kit. It is an aluminum 6061-T6 billet machined flywheel with a replaceable friction surface. At 14lbs, it is HALF of the weight of an OEM flywheel.

Best of all, any single plate 350z clutch will bolt right up to it. You are free to choose any clutch manufacturer that makes a kit for a 350z. Holding capacities of 740tq+ available from clutch makers! We also have a 1000tq+ twin disc option as well.

As with our other kits you will still need:

-Bellhousing machining($80)
-Shifter bracket relocation($125)
-Custom Transmission mount(we offer s-chassis ones, $100)
-Clutch line
-Driveshaft

All adapter plates are Laser scanned, CAD designed, CNC machined and real world tested. All scanning and machining is done in an ISO9001:2008 certified machine shop who specializes in MilSpec/Aerospace/Medical machining.

If you previously used one of my SR/KA kits all you need is the adapter and flywheel. The bellhousing mod and shifter mod are identical. It saves you money from doing the work twice!

Please contact [email protected] for further details.

Thank you!
George

Only the pre-2005's were crap. They have some big powered Z cars running stock transmissions. One is a 1200hp drag car.Oh and VQ transmissions are like 1/3 the price of a T56.

1/3 price doesnt mean much. t56 is 1500 lets say on the higher side. a 350z trans 350-600+ especially more if u get the cd009 trans which is the better one since the 2003-2005 suck ass. This conversion is 1k + u need to machine bell housing and need a custom mount driveshaft etc granted u still need those 2 in a ls swap but still probably cost more. in the end u have a inferior trans that cost more.

The cost to rebuild a t56 is cheap and would hold high hp.

He has since changed the design so there is no need to mill the bellhousing now. I should be ordering one soon!!

I think collins adaptor is better solution. Better grade materiel, cheaper price, plus they were the first to do it ands supposedly have a Patten on it.they also have studs welded " the plate so it's easier to remove the starter with out doing the whole trans.

Seems like every time I see somebody use a collins kit, there's problems with the clutch release and they have to ship parts back and forth multiple times until they find the right combination of parts.

A couple threads with people using the collins z33 to sr20 kits. Maybe they have their jz kit all in order though.
