Opinions on Black Racing Wheels (pic)

Well I was browsing around Up Garage's wheel selection and they have a set of Black Racing N1 Pros White wheels for 750000 yen which equals to about 700 usd. 18 x 8 +45 offset(if my memory serves me correct). They are used wheels (in great shape) that come with new tires. If i get these wheels, they are going on my 96 240sx. I dont know much about the company Black Racing but i think they wheels like nice. WHat do you guys think about this deal and the size? And secondly what do you guys think about these bronze Xauber wheels that are next to the black racing wheels. Thanx

i've never heard of them, but they look like any number or other wheels that are just knock offs. the size and offset isn't too impressive. nothing to rave about, but a decent price nonetheless.

+45 is going to look horrible. Won't even begin to look flush.
Not without a big spacer.
Plus, it's not going to clear coilover's if you got 'em/plan to get them.

well... 8" seems to be skinny for 18" wheels
plus the offset is high (+45)
your car will look good from the side.. but when you look at your car at an angle.. the wheels will look sunken

Black Racing does make better rims for RWD and they are JDM sex.

I have them in bronze... and i like them... nice and light... not to many folks have them.... but i have them in better offsets... check my sig for pics

Well im still not sure if im gonna get these wheels but after i came home from up garage i was looking at GooParts and i found a set of Bronze Volk Racing Te37s (Front:17x7.5 +30 215/45-17, Rear:17x8.5 +40 235/40-17) for 84,000yen which equals to 785 usd. Im not sure of the condition of the wheel and tires. Seems pretty cheap for te37s even for japan. So im a lil skeptical but ill give em a call tomorrow and see wussup. It might be a 4 hour drive tho =\.

the te-37 option sounds better. All you need is spacers for them and your cool.

Noodl35: stay away. Those wheels just will not fit. I have Black Racing Pro N1s on my car in 17x7.5 +33. They barely clear the coilovers, and there is plenty of room on the fender side for a lower off set. Keep Shopping.

thanx for the reply guys, i dont think im gonna get the wheels becuase of the offsets. Well i went to the autobacs second hand parts store today while looking at the volks. Good thing is that i bought a use ARC bov pretty cheap and while looking by the New Parts section i found a Kei Office coilover section. Brand new s14 Kei office coilovers for 170300 yen, which equals to $1548. Not sure if they are xrs or xt's....im pretty sure they are xr's. Cant read japanese kanji too well. I'm think ill probably get them. If anyone here wants a set i'll be happy to get them for ya, shipping is cheap since i use USPS on base (domestic shipping) :rawk:
