Hello everyone. I'm new to these forums. I was just curious as to where I would post asking how much my car is worth. So I guess it's like a testing waters kind of thing. I didn't want to put it in the for sale portion as I don't even know how much I would sell it for. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you and great place you have here.

I was asking which section I should post it in. Obviously this isn't the actual listing of the car. I just wanted to make sure which section of the forums is the best place to post it asking other members what they would value it at.

We don't have a section for that, the car is worth what you want to pay for it or someone else is willing to pay for it. Either way you can't post a for sale here on the car till mid summer as it is.

You need to post more (not here) to be able to post in the classifieds. Also no one knows what your car is worth if we don't know anything about it.

Zero, I am in fact a new person here. I somehow must be typing everything wrong because no one seems to understand my question.

Again... I was asking which part of the forums should I make a post to ask others opinion on how much my car should sell for. In other words I'm trying to find out the approximate value. It is NOT a sale thread. I will do that after the 90 days is up, but I would like to at least find out what asking price would be fair.

How old are you....... you really should search man. There is a for sale section for cars. I suggest looking around the site, and getting a feel for things. B4 you get flamed to kingdom come dude.

Get a list together, post it up in the small question thread, hopefully you dont get your feelings hurt.

Better yet, look around the FS Cars section and find similar conditioned cars as yours and see what people are asking for.

Adams, I don't see any relevance in asking my age. I do appreciate your advice about searching the site and I guess my first post was in haste. In any case for some reason I've already been flamed to kingdom come.

Flip, thank you for suggesting the "small question" thread. You have been helpful in suggesting I post my question there. I did search a few pages in the FS Cars section, however I did not see any 500+ hp 240sx in there. I will search more in depth over the next few days and look for similar builds so I can get a feel for the average prices.

To those who misunderstood my post, I have a modified 240sx. It is a royal pain for me to figure out a price for it for the following reasons:

1. 240sx isn't worth much to begin with.
2. The car is heavily modded and I know I won't get all the money back, but would like to minimize my loss as much as possible.
3. As a general observation, a majority of the 240 crowd doesn't want to spend much for a 240.

Again, I don't know why people are resorting to name calling, profanity, insults, accusations, etc. I just asked which section of the forums I should post my question. I did not realize that asking a simple question would result in this. In any case, thank you again Flip, I might post my question in the section you suggested after a few days. I do hope that that post will be more constructive. However, I may not even bother as it seems this community may not be as friendly as I had hoped.
