offsets are measured, not labeled, so they may not be exactly right
two 15 x 7 +35
two 15 x 8 -33 (yes minus thirty-three)

which car did they came out from?

What are you going to do about the back ones? I think you mean the stock ones for the street and theis for drift. Driving around like that would just be silly. Im not hateing, I just think that offset is to much to sport daily.

Man, I need to start checking junkyards for rims. Maybe I could find a spare pair of 17s for DriftDay. (Just got a shiny new set of FN01R-Cs, gotta have an extra pair to pass tech)

TheSnail

I think it is from a Domestic. Old Mustangs had the lug pattern of 4x4.5 but even a stangs have offsets that are 0-15ish. Which make me belive it is from a domestic truck, like an old S-10.

good stuff.

Andrew Bohan
06-16-2004, 12:37 AM
i found all these in the wheel racks at dorris auto wreckers in hayward.
one of the 7's said "88 stanza" and the other one was blank.
one of the 8's said "84 cougar" and the other one said "83 t-bird"

the rears will require pulling for sure. i'll get some tires on these guys this week and we'll see how they look on the ground.

note to self, get to a junk yard and check for wheels

btw, nice find, let us know how something like that handles (being that the rears stick out so much compared to the fronts)

Man, you are going to need a lot of pulling to fit those rims in the back... or go wide body

is it just me or do the big dish ones seem not to fit correctly, like the lug bolts are too thin in diameter? or the holes are too big? it just seems like its sagging

ummm. those in the back have WAY too much negative offset. ugly.

I believe those require what I call collared lug nuts, usually used with mag wheels...don't know if that's the real/common name. They have an intigrated insert that's round to fit the hole in the wheel on the outside and threaded to fit the lug on the inside...makes it all flush. Like these. i've got those same rims

http://www.imagestation.com/album/?id=4290418407

you can look at them near the end of the gallery if you want, the lips polish up real nice on them with a bit of rough to fine steel wool and mothers mag polish. careful, these are weak shit rims, one of mine bent at a drift day. no huge bumps, no curb check, just bent the overall rim from stress.

Yea I have the same wheels but in 15x7 +35 offset painted black they look nice IMO, but now that I am running flairs I have no use for them :-/ Maybe a trade is in order.. only thing is, those are NOT soft, they hard as helllll :-D

Edit:

Yeah.

Collared/Mag Lugs... is what they usually go by.

Anyone know a place to get wheel locks for those types of lug nuts? They are commonly used for old mesh wheels so I figure someone would know...

06-19-2004, 08:18 AM
omg lol reminds me of 80s camaros with nasty wheels

that rim is just too narrow for such an offset, coupled with those fatty mcfaterson sidewalls it looks horrible :(

i just have one request take a picture from directly behind the car :ugh:

You should sand the paint off the lips and polish them.

i did this photochop to see how they look with polished lips. seems kinda funny cuz the rears are a 2-step lip so the spokes are shorter than the fronts
http://guernsey.globat.com/~mountainracer.com/tunetech/wheelses/wheelspolished.jpg

and yes, i'm working on fenders...

06-21-2004, 01:31 AM
thats really not that bad. i have 15x7 0 offset, and i know mine are lot less extreme than that, but i still had the tire poking out. but yea dude, get in touch with heartwork, when the fenders are pulled flush, it looks sweet

Mr. Badlose
06-21-2004, 03:25 PM
Next time you come up for Fab Days 4.2, we'll take a chopsaw vertically to your brake rotors and fix that rear offset right up! YEAH!

Heartwork
06-21-2004, 03:50 PM
please get RUCA's or play with your stock ruca bolt and adjust to as much negative u can, then i can probably pull the fenders for you...hahah

2 inches is a lot to pull with the "existing" fender

Mr. Badlose
06-21-2004, 04:35 PM
Or if Heartwork isn't up to the job, we can buy some chrome overfenders and I can burn a CD of mariachi music, and we can cruuiiiiiise! Buahahahaha. このやろう。。。

Wait, I got it! I'll make a plaster of paris mold, then we can melt down all of Jake's burned anime CDs, enough to make a ton of fender flares! いいですよ!!はいはいはい!!111

are all the ethnic jokes really that funny? nice wheels though. if you ever find some 9j wheels, well, good for you.

GotDriftS14
06-22-2004, 04:21 AM
i have some 15x7 +0 on the rear of mine, and they arent even flush! ahh the glory days of RWD cars with normal offsets, haha. my next rear wheels should be at least 9J, i've heard of Z31 peopel fitting ~10.5J easily, and i think since my fender is flared a tiny bit, i could use an even lower offset and still not have the tire poking out. deep dish mania style, haha... :coolugh:

Mr. Badlose
06-22-2004, 10:34 AM
Guys, what does the "J" in "9J" stand for?
