Hi guys first of all I have searched and read a lot of threads about this. I just rebuilt my ka24de in my s13, and turbocharged it. First start went just fine, It bogged and died when cold, but idled fine when warmed up. So I cleaned the Iacv, nothing changed. Then I changed the maf and It seemed to fix it for a couple days. After that it still bogged and died on cold start, without maf it started and idled at 1000 +-50 rpm, but the afr was pegged at 10.0. Then randomly one day it started idling perfect, with afr between 15-16 at idle. I tried driving it but It bogged like no tomorrow, the only way to make the car accelerate was to keep tapping the gas pedal. While driving the afr would go full lean showing " - - - " on the wideband, and when you press the clutch the afr would get back to 15-16. Last week I took the distributor out and re timed it, now the afr is pegged at 10 with or without maf. But with maf it shoots out crazy black smoke like a diesel truck under boost. Here is a link to the video I shot a couple days ago

I have checked tps, iacv, maf, timing, injectors, fuel pressure(40psi with vac 47 without vac, im running stock fpr and walbro in tank)
Also checked vacuum leaks, and grounds, now I am out of ideas. Also the timing is set at 20 degrees.

Thanks, Efi specialist did the tune, today I tried pinching the fuel line that goes from the fuel filter to the rail, and it became better then it died. Maybe a bad fpr idk.

Know a knock sensor would cause you to run rich, I'd call them and see what's up. A bad o2 sensor could throw into tail spin too.

I have put a new iacv, tps, knock sensor, cts, and different maf. I'm selling the long block with the intake and exhaust manifolds for 500 bucks. I just decided to go sr20 and call it a day.

Sorry I couldn't help man, good luck! I think you'll have more fun with the SR anyways.

Lol, I have another ka machined block sitting I the garage waiting to be built. It's gonna be running a sc61. I just want a sr20 for a daily right now, it's better to me than a stock ka right now.
